Ash before oak, in for a soak. Fingers crossed it’s looking good and after the longest wettest winter we so deserve it 🤞🤞🤞 Does anyone know of a similar indication that this constant wind is going to do one too 🤔 I know we are by the west coast but oh my days it’s doing my head in!!

Making the most of some spring sunshine - the weeding was delayed momentarily to revel in the gorgeousness of these anemones and the start of the snakes head fritillaries. The checkerboard pattern on their petals always fascinates me. We have been on holiday and during that two weeks the garden has burst into colour - joyful. Have a fabulous Sunday xx

I’ve been busy drying edible flowers to make sprinkles to be used in baking, ice cubes, cocktails - a little touch of Pembrokeshire coast pizazz. All the flowers are grown organically by me, collected to the sound of buzzing bees, the sea and swooping swallows. I have two faithful companions who shadow me in my field - Twiglet my very patient Jack Russel and a young robin who likes to get up close to see if I am unearthing tasty snacks! I have some 2.5g sachets of the sprinkles available (uk only I’m afraid) - all the money collected will be donated to the Wales Air Ambulance. £4 includes the cost of postage too 💙

Drives me mad - things that grew so well last year were a total failure this year - whatever did I do to upset them? However the dahlias were a triumph then and now - buckets of them are being left at the gate for neighbours and passersby to help themselves

I spy with my little eye! They started this nest then abandoned it, then returned and built a bit more - definitely a scruffy affair but they raised a brood in it, yesterday they all flew away - I miss them 😢 mind they left me a right mess to clear up before I can start using the summer house again 💩

A perfect day to be out in the garden. Blue sky, gentle breeze, the newts are being busy in the pond and the mole seems to have taken a day off digging up a flower bed, which means the terrierists haven’t spent the day excavating craters in said bed hunting the mole. Tomorrow will be spent filling in the craters 🙄 xx

Happy Easter 🐣 The weather has been challenging for the garden recently - high winds and huge rainfall. It makes it difficult for families with young children visiting for the Easter holidays too. We met a lovely family on Friday, all be it bedraggled, I promised them that the sun would come out today - and it has 🌞 Flowers gathered in the morning sunshine - heaven xx
