Hello September! We are back in the kitchen after a salty summer of endless fresh seafood, palm trees and sea air. It’s so good to be home, but is there anything better than fresh fish….? Dreaming of having my toes dug into warm sand watching my 10 year old expertly debone a freshly caught sea bass…. Hope you all had the best summer. Website is fully back in stock; and motors running for very exciting things coming up very soon!

So today I was supposed to spend the day in London with one of the most JUANderdful people I know and instead I got hives from the birch next door, anxiety and hyper focused on cleaning instead. If you know me, well you know…. I’m hating myself for not having a picnic at Hyde park with my buddy but instead I will share some pics from his ridiculously incredible and oh so chic showroom and roof garden in Mexico City.
I have watched him slowly build this year by year and each time I head back to CDMX it’s even more impressive. His dad is just the best dentist with ever so chic consult rooms these days on the ground floor, so every time I head home I get to smile in awe with pearly white teeth… 🦷

Juan has the best style and his garments are genuinely incredible. If you’re a chilango and haven’t been, or heading to the city:.. East Club is not to be missed…

Whipped up a batch of our dehydrated spicy pineapple for the supper club next week. They are so delicious, I packaged some up and am thinking of putting them on the website. Would you buy a bag of this healthy, moorish, spicy, chewy delight? 🍍🍍🍍

I am hugely excited to announce a Bashbites kitchen takeover over at our pals June 26’th and 27’th.

I came back from Mexico inspired and hungry to bring you all the goodness of authentic Mexican food. It’s been a little while since we have done a pop up and with the weather changing and the bright veggies popping up, we thought this was the perfect time. You all seemed to enjoy my food stories while I was away so here is your chance to try it all yourselves! I came back with a suitcase full of goodies that I’m complimenting with the best local produce around. Get ready to travel through Mexico one bite at a time. The menu is naturally gluten free and we can offer a vegetarian option (please mention this on your booking!)
We have also partnered with the badass ladies from to bring you the very best Mezcal available in the UK, so make sure you book a taxi home!

Tickets on the link in my bio and feel free to get in touch if you’ve got any questions. If you’ve got a group of 6-8 people remember there’s the back room you can request for your party.

Spread the word, book a spot and don’t hesitate as this is surely one you won’t want to miss!

I can’t wait to be back in the kitchen making my favourite Mexican dishes, and back at Chloe’s which always feels like home!

See you there! Besos, Ash xx

Just recovering from the dreamiest book club supper club discussing and eating through last week. I just loved every minute of re-reading this masterpiece which convinced me to become a cook so many years ago. I listened to the audiobook while I prepped. I forgot what his voice sounded like… helped as the impeccable narration-by the late Tony blew me away even more second time around… What a guy. It filled me with joy and hope of my life in the kitchen all over again. Sharing it with fellow foodies was just the cherry on top. Gosh how much I adore talking to like minded people about things as simple as butter and lettuce. Thank you for joining us, adored meeting all of you. We had a full house, and so much jovial energy. This is what cooking for others should always feel like. And I want to thank my wonderful host for having us at her épic little eatery in Charlbury. More to come, so stay tuned….

What started in a happy surprise finding the perfect bunch of morning glory at my local Asian shop; obviously meant I had to cook a huge Chinese feast. It was insanely delicious; and our chilli crunch took everything from the duck pancakes to the pork and chive dumplings to another level.

Kitchen Confidential Dinner: A Tribute to Bourdain

Join us for a night of bold flavors, strong drinks, and unapologetic storytelling as we dive into Kitchen Confidential. Inspired by Anthony Bourdain’s love for no-nonsense food and the thrill of the kitchen, our menu is built for sharing, feasting, and maybe a little chaos. Expect oysters, bone marrow, and rich, slow-cooked classics—dishes that capture the spirit of late nights, loud kitchens, and the unfiltered passion of a true chef.

No reservations. No substitutions. Just damn good food.

Lovely Saturday morning it was my first time at this little collective of creatives and I had the best time. So many creative makers and interesting woman. Inspiring conversations, great customers in a gorgeous setting. I can’t wait for the next one. Thank you to everyone who bought some crunch; although I was the winner buying the most incredible crystal necklace from one talented lady. Thank you for organising xx

Back from a few days in Rome, and of course I brought back all the seasonal goodies. When we got to the gate, my husband wasn’t allowed to board the flight because he only had 5.6 months left and after Brexit if you have a uk passport you need 6 months. We could have gone to Japan instead… anyway…. I had the fear after every wonderful meal as I missed him, and wanted him to be experiencing every delicious morsel with us. So obviously I hit the markets and brought back all the seasonal goodies used in my favourite dishes from the trip.
Windy gray Sunday back home turned exciting by the thought of puntarelle, and artichoke everything.
I will be Trying to recreate the best pasta dish I’ve ever had at with pecorino and artichokes, as well as the Jewish Roman fried artichokes from and the most delicious anchovy and cheese stuffed courgette blossoms from Da Zi Umberto. And of course warm focaccia (studded with more artichokes!)
Hopefully will feel like he was in Roma with us after all xx
