20 years, 2 boys, one beautiful island… and finally, “I do.”
Some love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture. Tracey and Terry’s began 20 years ago at a foam party in a nightclub in Romford. Neither of them could have imagined that two decades later they would be standing hand in hand on the white sands of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, surrounded by the people who matter most.
Eleuthera has always held a special place in their hearts. In fact, one of their most memorable adventures happened there back in 2010 when Terry was so excited to dive into the crystal clear water that he forgot the car keys were still in his shorts pocket. A few hours later they realised the keys had disappeared into the ocean forever! With no mobile phones to save the day, Terry had to hitchhike back into town, eventually being rescued by a local school bus where everyone seemed to know everyone. It’s a story they’ve laughed about ever since.
Although there was never a traditional proposal, they always knew marriage was part of their future. As they planned a special trip to celebrate their 20th anniversary, the conversation naturally turned into something even more meaningful.
“Shall we just get married? Just us and the boys on our favourite island?”
And that’s exactly what they did.
Their wedding day was everything they wanted it to be. Simple, intimate and full of love. One of the most emotional moments came when Tracey’s eldest son proudly gave her away, making the day even more special for this beautiful family of four.
After 20 years together, countless memories, adventures and laughter, Tracey became Mrs Tyrrell in the most perfect way possible.
