The Arc is the place to come together to experience arts, reading and community under one roof, in the heart of Winchester. From live music, comedy and family theatre shows, to high-quality art exhibitions and classes for all ages, The Arc is taking forward the venue's rich history as a live-performance venue and is also home to one of Hampshire's most popular libraries, Winchester Library. The Arc's new digital lab features state-of-the-art iMacs and offers introductory and advanced digital classes for all ages. The updated café has a new menu offering light meals and refreshments throughout the day, while products to accompany our programme of world-class exhibitions are available to browse and buy in The Arc's shop.

We're so excited to launch our very first Creative Explorers programme at The Arc THIS WEDNESDAY!

Created for ages 7-10, Creative Explorers is a new series of creative activity days led by Veronica and Emma, combining art-making, movement, imagination, games and hands-on creative fun.

🎨 COLOUR
Wednesday 12 August
Explore bold ideas, self-expression and creativity through movement, play and art-making.

🏃 MOVEMENT
Wednesday 19 August
Discover storytelling, drama and imagination through energetic group activities and creative making.

🎲 PLAY
Wednesday 26 August
Experiment, explore and have fun through games, creative challenges and hands-on art activities.

Booking options for all sessions:
Morning Sessions (9am-12pm) or Afternoon Sessions (1pm-4pm) are £25,
Full Day (9am-4pm) is £35!

Tomorrow, a most marvellous thing is happening at The Arc...

A grown-up and a child will sit down with a paintbrush, a soft drink and a splendid splash of imagination, then WHOOSH! Before they know it, a blank sheet of paper will be filled with colourful cartoon characters, curious creations and all sorts of artistic mischief.

This is the very first Kids & Grown-Ups Paint & Sip with the wonderfully creative Alan Beckett of Art Tales, creator of our famously popular evening Paint & Sip sessions.

Come along, get messy, make memories and create a masterpiece together.

Opening up a world of colour for children & students this summer at The Arc... 🎨

We’ve removed The Gallery entry fee for children and students for the remaining duration of The Scottish Colourists: Radical Perspectives!

From now until 16 September, children up to the age of 16 and students with a valid student ID, can enjoy this exhibition presented in partnership with The Fleming Collection, completely free!

Free tickets are bookable via our website or available on the day providing valid student ID is shown.
