Oli and Holly - where to begin? One incredibly luxurious weekend of wild swimming, fire feasts ad non-stop music at the sublime last weekend, and here are just a few select photos from the Saturday, I can’t wait to share more from the rest of the weekend!

What a day it was - it’s hard to describe in words the perfect balance of the wild tranquility and beautiful yet traditional luxury that is the Wilderness Reserve.

This was a wedding day that was different from the outset, and a joy to photograph from start to finish. Music was a big thing for Oli and Holly, and they made their entrance to the marquee to the incredible 7 piece Function Band, which set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Instead of a formal sit down meal, there was gorgeous roving food, guests could enjoy food wherever they were comfortable, whether on a sofa, on the lawn, or by the river. It was refreshingly relaxed, and worked perfectly. Holly and Oli’s passion for music and celebration with loved ones, meant they envisaged a day which meandered perfectly through phases as the music changed the tempo, energy and vibe to suite the different beats of the day.

The music never stopped. Band sets blended seamlessly into DJ sets, keeping the energy high as the party transitioned from the marquee to the barn. Then, as the night deepened, the celebration moved to the cellar, where Brassive Attack’s bright LED lit drum abd brass show took the party to another level.

An absolute pleasure to work with the legend that is as always, and to work with some awesome bands and suppliers too. A huge shout out to Isabel and Jonathan and the team at for their incredible hospitality over the weekend.

Looking forward to sharing part two over the next few days!

Well this was a lovely surprise this week! I’m honoured to pick up not one, but two of the highly coveted This is Reportage Story Awards, that tell a story of one wedding in just 15-20 frames.

From over 10,000 images submitted across the Reportage Awards, the judges for this round chose just 34 Story Awards.

Storytelling is the core of what I do, and there is a real challenge and art to distilling a day down into a small selection of images that capture the story with interest and variety in each image, which is why these awards are so hard to win.

I’ll share these two stories separately over the coming weeks, starting with Sophie and Marcus and their fun filled day at the incredible Larmer Tree Gardens.

I’m stoked to find out I’ve been named as Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025! This is the second time for me, following up on 2019, but all the more special as NineDots is an incredibly supportive educational community for wedding photographers that I’m proud to be a part of, so this is a big deal for me. A massive shout out to Andy and Rahul for making NineDots the incredibly awesome welcoming community that it is. The difference with these awards is that only images shot in the previous 12 months are allowed, which really encourages fresh creativity, so I’m immensely proud to have captured all these moments in the last year. How I managed to pick up 16 awards over the 3 rounds I’ll never know, but I’m super happy!

Something I never thought I would get to say - to be ranked in the Top 15 photographers in the world for 2025 by Fearless Photographers!

Fearless is a global community of creative wedding photographers with work ranging from authentic storytelling to unique portraits, pushing to create images that really stand out from the crowd. Their competitions are among the toughest in the industry, with thousands of images entered worldwide each round and only a handful ever recognised. To be awarded here means your work stood out on a truly international stage, judged by photographers at the very top of their game.

To now be ranked in the Top 15, alongside photographers I’ve admired, learned from, and been inspired by for years, isn’t something I take lightly. It’s an honour to be part of a community so widely respected and so committed to meaningful work. many years of shooting, making mistakes, learning for next time, looking for those different viewpoints, all starting to pay off.

I’m feeling proud, humble, and properly fired up for what future opportunities are out there.

Thank you to every couple who’s trusted me to tell their story!

Oh my days, what a way to start the year! Fearless photographer awards are so so hard to come by, and with good reason, as the standard is so incredibly high. So I nearly fell off my chair this morning when I discovered I’d picked up not one, not two, not three, but FOUR Fearless Awards in the latest round! That’s more than the whole previous year! Absolutely floored. I also noticed two of these were taken while I was lying on the floor! If you ever see me down there I’m ok, I haven’t had a fall, I’m just doing what I do, and why I always head home after a wedding with grass stains on my knees…..

This also means that I managed to climb up the rankings to #14 in the world and #2 in the UK for 2025. Absolutely speechless.

The four photos are some of my favourites from the last few years, and all absolutely pure documentary moments, which is what I love shooting the most. They also all share the same common theme, in my desire to get as much of the story as I can in one image through multiple layers, so it is clear what the story is, the art of storytelling. Anticipation, light, composition, and finally that decisive moment.

Thank you again to and the judges!

Trends come and go. Here are the things I feel really matter, and will allow you to get the absolute maximum from your wedding.

My heart sinks when I see a list of the ‘must follow’ trends for weddings, because I know they are just popularised by the latest celeb wedding, or created by influencers looking to sell things or to promote their own preferred style, with little interest in what REALLY matters.

Having shot over 500 weddings, I’ve seen a huge variety in style, taste, the minimal to the maximal, and what really matters above all else is that it is YOUR day, so plan it YOUR way.

These things will stand the test of time, because they are all things that are real, and when you look back on your photos in 20 years, these are the things you will remember.

Authentically you
Choose what matters to you — not what’s expected of a wedding.

Fun
Be spontaneous, playful, silly, complete enjoyment for no specific reason except the fun of it all.

Connection
Everyone dear to you and loved, all in one place, at one time.
All the people you love, together in one place, in one perfect moment.

Love
Let love guide every decision — not the schedule, the styling, or the opinions of others.

Time
Time to talk properly, to hug without rushing, and to step back and take everything in and really appreciate the day you made yours.

People
Appreciate people for being there, both family, friends and all the people who’ve worked hard behind the scenes to make your day what it is.

Simplicity
If traditions aren’t for you, let them go. if you want to go big, and spend lots and embrace everything then go for it.

Imperfection
The dirt the dress acquires through the day, the messy prep room, all these are just layers of your story, as it happens. None of it really matters. Whatever happens on the day, all the things you can’t plan for or control are unique and memorable, and makes your day what it is. Let the day unfold, it is yours.

Feeling
Your wedding is all about how it makes you feel. From the planning, through the day itself, and the memories for years after. Enjoy every second.

Not a bad way to start 2026! Incredible news finding I have been named as one of the Top 3 wedding photographers in the UK and IE with , and therefore top 10 for the fourth year in a row! Consistency is something I always strive for, and it’s great to place that bit higher this year. Thank you to and the judges, and of course, the amazing couples I have worked with for entrusting me with their memories, and for 2026 couples, the year is here and I cannot wait to get going!
