Even though we haven't been doing events now for a few years, we have still been dealing with the birds on a daily basis, for those who don't know Cole, she was the first rescue that we took in, as she was dumped in a woods and almost starved to death, with great difficulty she fought through and lived with us for around another 5 years,, Cole was loved by everyone who met her apart from donkeys she hated them, unfortunately today something got into her aviary and cole was taken to the vets, the vets think due to her injuries it was possibly a mink what as got into her aviary, and a decision was made to have her pts due to her injuries, the decision did not come lightly but we had to do what was best for the old girl, R.I.P Cole you really will be missed

Not long left to go now, although we are now leaving Saturday night, we will keep pages and groups updated with pictures of location throughout the walk, so people can see where we are upto, we currently now have 25 rescues at the moment, not just birds of prey, but reptiles and hedgehogs, so every little bit helps towards building more aviaries and food for them, even if it's only £1 it will go along way to the upkeep of these animals

So what can I say apart from it has been an eventful day, 2 birds cam to us today due to unforseen circumstances, we now have 2 more additions a bengal Eagle owl, and a eurasian Eagle owl, to add to the new rescue who came to us end of last month, a buzzard who unfortunately can't be re released into the wild due to him being blind on 1 side

When you go to feed the birds of prey, spot a adult tawny owl getting chased off magpies, and see roughly where it landed, so you go on a mission trying to spot it to get pictures, and well your plan failed, because instead you came across these, 2 wild baby tawny owls

Well it has been an eventful morning, got a phone call about a harris hawk which had been spotted, went and caught him and he has now been reunited back with his owner after being loose for almost a week, we have managed to fully build more aviaries, and working on building yet another one, although we are still in need of more wood for the aviaries if anyone has any collection can be arranged, thank you everyone for your continuous support

Hi Everyone,

We’ve been a bit quiet of late on the page this is due to several exciting new developments which we shall be sharing with you in due course.

Due to several factors (Bird Flu etc.) we are currently closed to ALL new bookings & will continue to be so until further notice

However..

We are taking this downtime to completely overhaul the business so that we can continue to deliver the best service possible when we reopen & with that comes a complete rebrand!

From the 1st Feb we will be rebranding to ‘North West Birds of Prey’ & as such all of our social handles will change, fear not however as the one constant is our page & over the coming days we will be updating it accordingly 🙂

Thanks for your continued support & we will bring you more updates on our other exciting developments as soon as we can!
