Meet the "Storm C**k" ⛈️🦅

The Mistle Thrush gets its nickname because it loves to sing from the highest treetops during wild, stormy weather. Spot them by their cold grey-brown feathers and fierce, upright posture.

Have you seen one of these garden giants lately? 👇

Did anyone else catch last nights Blood Moon abd partial lunar eclipse? 🎥👇

This was my photo from 2027, far too cloudy up here in wet Wigan. 🤯 Earth’s shadow covered 96% of the moon, turning it this insane deep red colour. Did you manage to catch it, or did you sleep straight through?

Drop your location if you saw it! 👇🔴

Can you tell these two apart at sea? 🌊🐦

Identifying European vs Wilson’s Storm-Petrels is one of the ultimate pelagic birding tests. They look identical from afar, but these three secret clues will change your birding game:

1️⃣ THE UNDERWING: Look for a bright white bar (European) vs a completely dark lining (Wilson’s).
2️⃣ THE FEET: Wilson’s has long legs that project past its tail in flight—and secret yellow toe webbing!
3️⃣ THE DANCE: Wilson’s literally "walks" and bounds on the water, while Europeans flutter like bats.Save this for your next pelagic boat trip! 🚢

🚨 51% OF MIGRATORY BIRDS ARE DECLINING.

A landmark global study published in Nature Reviews Biodiversity has delivered a devastating wake-up call: over half of the world’s migratory bird species are shrinking in population.

From common swallows to rare marine species, human activity is cutting their journeys short.

Standard local conservation isn’t enough anymore. Scientists are calling for unified international action to protect entire flyways across continents before the skies fall silent.

🎭This bird has an identity crisis: The Dunlin! 🔍

✨Ever spotted a small shorebird and felt completely stumped? 💎 A signature hunched, "neckless" posture.
💎 A rapid "sewing-machine" feeding style as it probes the mud.
