It is with great sadness that Wigan Hockey Club share the news of the passing of one of our junior members, Alyssa Ashcroft on Sunday 12th April following a battle with illness, aged 15.

Also a volunteer Police Cadet with GMP, as well as a talented drama student at the local Deanery High School, Alyssa was also a popular member of Wigan Hockey Club, starting with our juniors section before progressing into the Ladies 2nd team. She was also keen to be involved with any mixed team competitions during summer, with her bubbly presence always on show for all to see.

It will certainly be a lot quieter without her around and we send our upmost sympathies to her friends and family at this incredibly difficult time.
