Wedding Fair Weekend ✨

I had a lovely time at the Kent Cricket Ground as part of the A Kentish Wedding | Wedding Fairs fair this weekend! It’s been a while since I’ve taken part in an in-person event after a busy summer focused on creating new designs, so it was fantastic to be back among so many wonderful wedding suppliers and chatting with lovely couples about their stationery ideas.

✨ E X C I T I N G N E W S ✨

I’m absolutely buzzing to announce that I’ve made it through to the regional finals of The Wedding Industry Awards for my wedding stationery designs!

I can’t put into words how grateful I am to all the couples I’ve worked with over the last year who took the time to vote for me. Thank you all so much for choosing to work with me and trusting me to bring your ideas to life.

Congratulations to everyone who has made it through to the finals—it’s amazing to see so many other suppliers I know and have worked with being recognised!

The Flatt-Whites ☕️💕

Emily and Sam were such a great couple to work with!

They had a really clear vision for the theme and style of their wedding and wanted to include lots of personal touches within their stationery.

The starting point was their colour scheme—pink and red, which ran through every detail of the day.

On the front of their invitations, they featured their wedding cake (created by the wonderful Wedding Cake Artistry by Miranda ) alongside one of their beloved cats, wearing a pink bowtie covered in red hearts to fit their palette.

On the inside, we featured an illustration of Winters Barns- Kent Wedding Venue in Canterbury, continuing the red and pink theme with the surrounding flowers and even adding a tiny crab by the water—another special personal detail!

The final touch was custom envelope liners featuring a recurring motif: a coffee cup with ‘The Flatt-Whites’ surrounded by a heart of coffee beans.

This was such a fun commission to be part of—one of those meetings where ideas just clicked and came to life effortlessly.

✨ Gin Bottle Inspired Table Plan ✨

For their wedding seating chart, Samantha & Toby themed their tables around their love of gin! Here are some pictures of the finished design from their day at The Old Kent Barn Weddings , captured beautifully by James Pearce - Kent Wedding Photographer

They wanted each of the 10 tables to feature an illustration of a different favourite gin they’ve enjoyed together—a mix of iconic brands and unique finds from around the world.

This was a really lovely brief to work on, especially as one of my very first illustrated table plans was also gin-themed! It was great to revisit the concept and add new bottles to my collection, including Monkey 47, Roku, and my personal favorite to draw, Elephant Gin.

Each bottle was drawn using a mix of watercolour, pencil, and pen, with finer details added using coloured fineliners. The final table plan was printed in A1 alongside matching table name cards, which were displayed right next to empty bottles of each gin on the day.

Huge congratulations to Sophie & Dom, who celebrated their wedding over the weekend at The Gardens | Wedding Venue Kent !

For their invitation suite, they wanted to capture their lovely, rustic venue and incorporate a soft colour palette of light orange, peach, pink, and blue through floral illustrations and pops of colour.

The main gatefold invitation features a custom portrait of the couple with their two sons and three pets, framed by the same wooden archway scene from their Save the Date design. Opening the invitation reveals a beautiful landscape view of the grounds, teasing the venue’s ceremony space alongside key guest information.

I also had the pleasure of creating their day stationery, including a welcome sign, a timeline of the day, and a table plan featuring their family pets.

This was such a lovely project to be a part of—wishing Sophie Jane Houlihan & Dom the absolute best for their future together!

Congratulations to David & Daniel who tied the knot this weekend at one of the coolest venues I’ve ever had to draw... The Houses of Parliament.

For their invitation designs, they wanted to feature this historic venue on the outside. As a couple that loves to travel, they wanted to feature some of their favourite places on the inside, running below the guest information.

For the last personal detail, they asked me to draw them as Lego figures holding a wedding band to help break up the information they needed to share on the back.

All the artwork was drawn using a mix of fine liner, watercolour, and pencils, and the final designs were printed on a white, textured paper stock to complement the watercolour illustrations.

Animal Table Plan 🐾

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the grid! There have been a few factors at play—mainly being wonderfully busy with live projects and commissions, but also moving house a few months ago and losing my usual rhythm. I’ve decided it's time to get back into the routine of sharing my designs, my process, and hopefully giving you all some inspiration for your own special days.

I thought I’d start with the very first project I completed after we moved (literally three days after we got the keys, I sent this design to print!).

Jill & Eric love animals and actually got engaged in a zoo, so they wanted to theme their table plan around their story. Each animal was individually drawn—you can see the development of these as you swipe through the photos!

Once the illustrations were finished, I built the 'zoo scene' around them, dividing them into different areas based on the room's table layout and adding in the finer details. We used the colours and font styles from their original invitations to tie everything together and keep the visuals cohesive.

Because they got married in the US, I didn't get to see this finished design in the flesh, but the feedback from the couple was incredibly lovely.
