Animal Table Plan 🐾
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on the grid! There have been a few factors at play—mainly being wonderfully busy with live projects and commissions, but also moving house a few months ago and losing my usual rhythm. I’ve decided it's time to get back into the routine of sharing my designs, my process, and hopefully giving you all some inspiration for your own special days.
I thought I’d start with the very first project I completed after we moved (literally three days after we got the keys, I sent this design to print!).
Jill & Eric love animals and actually got engaged in a zoo, so they wanted to theme their table plan around their story. Each animal was individually drawn—you can see the development of these as you swipe through the photos!
Once the illustrations were finished, I built the 'zoo scene' around them, dividing them into different areas based on the room's table layout and adding in the finer details. We used the colours and font styles from their original invitations to tie everything together and keep the visuals cohesive.
Because they got married in the US, I didn't get to see this finished design in the flesh, but the feedback from the couple was incredibly lovely.
