🔮 *Step inside Plum’s Curiosity Shop...* 🔮

For two nights at the Arcane Adventurers Ball, Chester Town Hall became home to the strangest little shop you’ve ever seen, and I had the honour of being its keeper.

Those who wandered in found a shopkeeper who seemed to know what they were thinking before they did. Thoughts were read, secrets were plucked from minds, and a few peculiar things were shown that can’t be explained. Then, once curiosity had its hooks in, I sent them to the back of the room to the wonderful team from Chapters Book Bar to claim a copy of Reap and Sow, the brand new book from the one and only Charlotte B. Plum 📖🌹

When the book signing began, I wandered the halls, reading minds and that Charlotte was waiting to sign their books in the shop...

Thank you to everyone who stepped across the threshold. The shop is closed for now, but you never know when it might open again 🗝️

Ashley Green is a professional mind reader and mentalist who has captivated audiences around the world with his incredible mental performances.

His journey began at just 11 years old at circus school where he first discovered his passion for performing.

After learning his first card trick, Ashley became fascinated with magic and later
joined The Magic Circle’s Young Magicians Club, eventually becoming a member of The Magic Circle in 2017.

Since then, he has performed on major stages, appeared on American
television, and regularly entertains audiences with mind-reading shows that blend psychology, magic, hypnosis, and audience interaction.

For almost 2 months I’ve been performing with a broken hand!

This was at Winters Barn for the wedding of Mr & Mrs Flatt-White. Such a beautiful venue and a really lovely crowd.

Although I was pretty badly injured, and in a lot of pain from surgery, cancelling was never an option, it’s their wedding day and you only get one of those!

Have a swipe through and look at the faces. Everyone you see stood up got pulled into the show. Thoughts were revealed and minds were blown 🤯

But here’s the thing. There are so many horror stories out there of budget suppliers cancelling last minute, not turning up on the day, or taking payment and then blocking the couple completely.

So when you’re booking your wedding suppliers, please do your research. Here’s how to spot one you can actually trust:

👉 Check their Google reviews and look at the most recent ones (not just the handful on their website)

👉 Watch real footage from real events, not just a quick showreel

👉 Speak to them on the phone before you book

👉 Make sure you get a proper booking agreement and invoice

👉 Ask what happens if they’re ill. A good supplier will have a plan

Saving a couple of hundred quid isn’t worth lying awake the night before your wedding wondering if they’re actually going to turn up.

It’s never the tricks. It’s never the venue.

It’s that something happened to them. Not in front of them. To them.

Maya Angelou said it best. People forget what you said. They forget what you did. But they never forget how you made them feel.

That’s the whole job really.
