👻 DO YOU HAVE A HAUNTED PROPERTY IN WHITBY? 👻

Kindred Spirit Investigations is looking for properties in Whitby with a genuine history of strange or unexplained activity.

We’re searching for unusual, atmospheric and historic locations whose owners would be willing to hire their property to us for a public paranormal investigation.

🏚️ Historic buildings
👣 Unexplained footsteps or noises
👻 Apparitions or unusual sightings
🚪 Doors or objects moving inexplicably
🕯️ Long-standing stories of paranormal activity

There’s just one condition: the property must already have a history of strange activity — we’re specifically looking for locations with stories, reports or experiences connected to them.

Own a property that fits the bill? Or know somewhere in Whitby that we should speak to? Tag them or share this post with them.

🔮✨ HAIRDRESSER WANTED – WHITBY PARANORMAL FESTIVAL 2027! ✨🔮

We’re looking for a local hairdresser / pin-up hair artist to join us on Saturday 13th March 2027 as part of the Whitby Paranormal Festival! 👻💜
You’ll be based at The Royal Hotel in Whitby, offering hair styling to guests who want to complete their look ready for our Witches & Warlocks Ball that evening. 🧙‍♀️🧙‍♂️✨

💇‍♀️ How would it work?

There would be a room hire charge for the space at the Royal Hotel, but after that, the business side is yours. You would set your own prices for the different hairstyles and services you offer, and payments from customers would go directly to you.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work, meet plenty of people throughout the festival and hopefully have a very busy day getting our witches and warlocks ready for the ball! ✨

We’d particularly love to hear from someone experienced in pin-up, vintage, alternative or occasion hairstyles, although we’re open to hearing from anyone who thinks they’d be a great fit.

📅 Saturday 13th March 2027

📍 The Royal Hotel, Whitby

Interested? Drop us an email for more information, or tag a hairdresser below who you think would be perfect! 💜

Pirate festival anyone ?

What’s happening in Whitby this August? ☀️⚓

Whitby Regatta draws to a close today, but if you’re visiting later this month, don’t worry — there’s still plenty happening in Whitby throughout August! 🎶🏴‍☠️🧛‍♂️

From folk music filling the streets to pirates taking over the seafront and Dracula returning to the Abbey, there are still brilliant events to look forward to.

🎶 Whitby Folk Week | 22–28 August

One of the biggest events in Whitby’s summer calendar returns for a week of traditional music, dancing, storytelling, workshops and live sessions.

Events take place at venues across the town, with musicians and performers creating the unmistakable Folk Week atmosphere throughout Whitby.

🏴‍☠️ Whitby Pirate Festival | 28–31 August

Expect plenty of swashbuckling fun over the August Bank Holiday weekend when the Whitby Pirate Festival returns.

Organised by the Whitby International Pirate Society, the festival celebrates all things pirate-related, with much of the action centred around Whitby Bandstand.

🎪 Great British Summer at Whitby Abbey

There’s plenty happening throughout the school holidays at Whitby Abbey.

Families can try circus skills, enjoy puppet performances, take on traditional fairground games and relax with ice cream while soaking up some of the best views in Whitby.

Children can also collect stamps in a special activity passport while exploring the historic Abbey grounds.

🧛‍♂️ Dracula returns to Whitby Abbey

The Abbey’s popular live Dracula performances continue throughout August, bringing Bram Stoker’s famous story to life at one of the places that helped inspire the novel.

Performances take place at 11am and 2pm on:

📅 8–11 August
📅 15–18 August
📅 22–25 August
📅 29 August–1 September

So, while Whitby Regatta might be ending, August in Whitby certainly isn’t slowing down yet! ☀️🌊
