It honestly feels like I'm piloting a space ship sometimes, not gonna lie.

The amount of technical/ software knowledge I'm accumulating is a bit insane. This is what every single different shot of your 200 shot wedding film looks like, lots of dedication and love goes into every bit of it 💜

I had a couple of hours free editing time today, so decided to pull up some footage from a few years ago and have a play around with techniques, effects and colours ✨️

♀️ 🎥Autumn Durald Arkapaw has just won the Oscar for cinematography for her work on Sinners. She's the first woman to win this award and it makes my heart sing to be able to see so many incredible film makers and artists who've followed their dreams and reached the top of their craft. How incredibly inspiring to all women in film. ✨️

I was never a confident kid, I was sensitive and artistic and weird... the cinema was my happy place, and it was there the spark that would become Films By Jo began.

If I could only tell myself that we're meeting and making friends with so many amazing, lovely people, AND we get to create films that make them happy. Holy s**t, I'm so lucky 🥹
