Wessex Folk Festival The Annual FREE Wessex Folk Festival in Weymouth takes place on June 5th and 6th, 2027. Two stages and numerous street performers! All welcome!
(1)

Music, Morris dancing, trade stalls, food and more by Weymouth's picturesque Harbourside and Hope Square. After a two-year break because of Covid, the Wessex Folk Festival is back in 2022 and planning is underway. Because the traditional festival weekend coincides with the Jubilee Bank Holiday this year, we are returning with a slightly different format for the event. It will feature the usual sessions and workshops throughout the weekend and music on a single stage in Hope Square on the Sunday (June 5th). Dancing will be at sites in the town on the Saturday (June 4th) and on the south side of the Harbour on the Sunday. Plans are afoot for a Ceilidh in the Square at the end of the Sunday stage performances. Check the website or Facebook to keep informed with updates.

🌟 Volunteer Appreciation Post 🌟

Wessex Folk Festival simply wouldn’t happen without our amazing volunteers ❤️

From early morning setup 🌅, to stewarding throughout the weekend 🧭, helping visitors 😊, moving equipment 💪, answering questions 💬, solving problems on the spot 🛠️, and packing everything away afterwards 🎪 — they are at the very heart of the festival.

We didn’t manage to get photos of all of our volunteers, but we are incredibly grateful to every single one of you ❤️

Thank you for your time, energy, patience and good humour throughout the whole weekend 🌟
