We love a bit of haggis here at Gravy Boat Catering, last year we had to make do with delivering takeaways but last night we had the pleasure of hosting a Burns night supper at Moonfleet 2000 Indoor Bowls Club.
Obviously the traditional haggis, neeps, tatties and whiskey gravy was the main course, this was followed by a trio of scottish puds, consisting of cranachan, Ecclefechan tart and scotch pancakes...... now where's the rest of that whiskey!!

Canape assortment, trio of desserts, fritatta pesto, thai prawns, mango chilli salsa, shredded ham, just a few things to keep the guests at this weekends wedding distracted from the rain!! It certainly looked like it was working........ or was that the free bar!!!

Really starting to get back into the swing of things now!!
With a busy few months of parties and weddings ahead, today was a nice little warm up.
We provided our catering services for a wedding reception at Wellworthys and a 40th at Weymouth Rugby Club.

Our time at The Royal Standard has come to an end due to other parts of our business starting to kick in again.

Our resident barman Brian (aka Uncle Albert) is not too pleased about this no dancing at weddings malarkey but he understands that it's for the best.

Here he is doing a bit of belly dancing at a wedding at our Weymouth bowls club venue.
You can hire this gem of a function room for as little as £100, with it's large capacity of 150 people, ample free parking, competitively priced bar and our amazing catering, why would you look elsewhere!!

Wedding catering two weekends in a row, we haven't been able to say that for a while!!!

I think we need to look for a service photographer though because yet again we were too busy plating up delicious grub and only managed to get dessert pics! As you can see, our mini puds sharing boards were very much in demand!!!

Personally I think the smile probably had more to do with the occasion but we'll take that!!

It was our absolute pleasure to provide this happy couple with our afternoon tea boxes, maybe not the wedding you had planned but it looked amazing, thank you for letting us be a part of it
