Treated myself to a willow basket-making day for my birthday with Green Spiral Willow Baskets

Such a talented and patient teacher, who was incredibly supportive throughout. I learnt so much and genuinely enjoyed every minute. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different and creative.

Now, back to spending money on the dog rather than myself… 😂💜🐾

One for the kids & big kids (myself)😅

✨️Inspired by historic 18th-century bergamot boxes. They were delicate, fragrant trinket holders crafted from the rind of bitter orange (bergamot) fruit in France and Italy. Popular for storing cosmetics, jewellery, or s***f, they were prized for imparting a natural citrus scent, I don't eat oranges as triggers my migraines so done the exact same with a lemon. 🍃

🍋You simply slice the lemon in half horizontally, hollow out the inside pulp, shape the two halves over small jars (personal advice, use something plastic not glass or itll stick), secure them with rubber bands, and let them dry in a airing cupboard for about a week until hard, they should hopefully slot together 🍋

Saved this beautiful Six-spot burnet moth from being squished!! 🦋
Usually found on flower meadows and grassland, not the middle of a road.
Most beautiful iridescent colouring and the cutest Little face, hes safe in my garden now 🥰🍃

Happy birthday to Mary Anning!

Today marks the birthday of Mary Anning (1799–1847), the Lyme Regis fossil hunter whose discoveries helped change our understanding of prehistoric life.

Working beneath the wet, cold and dangerous cliffs of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, Mary uncovered some of the world’s first complete ichthyosaur and plesiosaur skeletons, along with the first British pterosaur in 1828. Yet despite her expertise, many male scientists took the credit for her work.

Today, Mary is rightly celebrated as one of the pioneers of palaeontology. A statue of Mary and her loyal dog Tray now stands above the beach of Lyme Regis, looking out towards the cliffs of The Spittles, where she made history fossil by fossil.
