Priory Cottages and Wedding Venue A unique wedding venue in Yorkshire set in the idyllic courtyard of the 12th century Syningthwaite Priory.

A traditional barn conversion with a contemporary internal design provides the perfect setting for your ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast for smaller parties (seats up to 60 for dinner). It is a blank canvass and can be decorated to your personal preference and theme. The marquee offers a larger space for a wedding breakfast and can be designed to meet your exact needs. We have seven

self catering cottages for your guests which can also be used as mid-week holiday cottages. This allows the whole of the Priory Cottages and Wedding Venue to be yours during your wedding and stay.

Now that’s what we call an installation 🪩

The Priory barn and marquee are both the perfect blank canvas for you to add your own personal stamp to the place, allowing you to bring your Pinterest boards to life, making no two weddings the same. From picking the colour of the carpet in the marquee to creating amazing bespoke installations like this.

Our favourite part of the wedding is seeing your ideas come to life and watching your guests reactions as they make their way around the venue.

EXCLUSIVE • USE • WEDDING • VENUE

That’s right, if you choose to get married here then you get exclusive use of the barn, marquee, grounds and cottages from 1pm the day before your wedding all the way through to 10.30am the day after your wedding. This means the venue becomes a home from home for you and your guests for 2 nights. We can sleep 29 guests across our 7 beautifully decorated cottages which all surround the tranquil lavender filled courtyard. All 7 cottages will be open for you to look round at our wedding fair on Sunday 19th January 2025, 11am - 2pm, giving you the perfect opportunity to plan who is sleeping where. We couldn’t think of a better way to kickstart 2025 than with one of our amazing wedding showcases.

Whether you are newly engaged or just in need of a little inspiration then join us and some of Yorkshires finest wedding suppliers on Sunday 19th January, 11am - 2pm for what promises to be a great day.

Whether it’s just the two of you or the whole tribe, enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival and then take your time to look round the venue, the cottages and the grounds whilst listening to live music, sampling delicious treats and talking all things wedding with the suppliers.

Our friendly and experienced wedding coordinators, Serena, Amy and Kat will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
