Glorious sunshine that graced us with its presence ☀️

Although it may now be in retreat to be totally spoilt by such unseasonably warm weather this week; it is almost unheard of and had that feeling of being in the throes of summer. As the sun dances on the majolica and mentha roses with magnificent bells, as well as gathered foliage that just shone as the beams brought this delicate arrangement to life.

The light. The warmth. We may have been teased but it can only mean one thing: springtime is just around the corner and my garden will once again be busting into life. New shoots, mean new growth and I eagerly await the pops of colour and fragrance that entices me back each and everytime to absorb its natural beauty.

A new dawn has arrived as the sun glistens in the sky ☀️⁣

Home-grown flowers and foliage gathered from my allotment is a welcomed reminder that warmer climes are just around the corner.⁣
⁣
The soft pinks of New Dawn, a sweetly fragrant David Austin climbing rose and hydrangea with hints of lavender add subtle pops of colour nestled in amongst ammi majus, scabiosa, stachys, and poppy heads, as well as the cascading foliage of rosemary and jasmine that also makes a debut in this arrangement which truly captures the spirit of my floral style - natural and full of movement.⁣

As the snow starts to thaw and springtime is just around the corner...❄⁣

Spiraea, also known as bridal wreath with its white blossom hints at the changing of the season - the days are getting ever longer and once again we finally begin to emerge from the winter slumber. ⁣

The delicate tones of mentha and majolica roses as well one of my favourite hellebores, the Magnificent Bells perched on the elegant French mantlepiece as the statued woman casts her gaze upon the bouquet.

A natural autumnal wedding befitting of the Somerset countryside surrounds 🍏⁣

It was a green and white affair for Stacey & Jamie's Wedding Day held in the quintessential English church of St Andrews, with the inclusion of apples in the bridal bouquet which gave a subtle nod to the nearby orchard from where they were gathered.⁣
⁣
The sun shone throughout as the celebrations continued into the rectory gardens thereafter; it was a perfect day for the special couple.⁣

There is something about a rustic wedding in a barn...

It was a pleasure to be a part of such a beautiful summer wedding last year for Tara at the Tithe Barn. It was a welcomed opportunity to use all my home grown foliage from the allotment: stachys, rosemary, the trails of passion flower and jasmine which adds to the simplicity and elegance of white roses, peonies and delphinium larkspur to create a natural aesthetic for the special occasion.
