I was in Hewish and I played host to Rowan's 8th birthday today. He went for a superhero themed party with a magic show. 3 hours of superhero fun and games, with lights, bubbles, party dances, prizes and a magic show.

A fun time was had by all, and I think there will be lots of tired kids sleeping well tonight.

Incase you have missed this, Super Culture and a bunch of people have built the clocktower and bridge of Birnbeck Pier out of cardboard and installed it on Prince Consort Garden. It is being knocked down tomorrow (Sunday) at 3pm.

I love pantomime (oh yes I do), and I was delighted when I found the Bleadon Players and joined their cast.

My first part was as one half of the comedy duo with Scott Morris and one of the members has just found this scene on YouTube.

This scene is especially special as Scott and I wrote it, and we became good friends. The original scene was a dated joke that no longer worked, and when this scene was put in front of a live audience and a live band, it really took off.

Scott is sadly no longer with us. Please, make sure you talk to friends and family if you ever feel the world is too much. The world is a better place with you in it.

Scott, I miss you.

I hardly ever ventured as far as Taunton, but I was there twice this weekend. The second time was for Eyad's 5th birthday at Bishops Hill Hub.

He went for an Interactive disco, with party music, lights, bubbles, party dances, non elimination party games, prizes and a touch of magic.

His parents made 2 wonderful curries for food, and I think word had got round, because there were so many mummies and daddies who stayed. 🍛

I came home via the road over the Quantocks, past Fyne Court, which is one of my favourite drives.
