Congratulations Blair & Iona! It has been so lovely getting to know you both and your wonderful family. A gorgeous day set the scene for a perfect outdoor ceremony on the lawn. It was lovely to welcome our local Rev. McNay to the venue.

Effortless piano playing from Margaret (Iona’s aunt) created such a beautiful atmosphere. With drinks reception on the terrace, followed by beautiful ‘scran’ in the Byre, and post meal cocktails... absolutely idyllic from start to finish.

We wish you the happiest years ahead together and we’re only a little bit jealous about the Safari Honeymoon 💕

Congratulations Molly & Finlay! You have both been on the long journey with us and it means a lot that you placed your trust in us. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and your family. Your day had the most wonderfully elegant vintage theme throughout - from the ornate fireplace, to the vintage ice cream van, to the Nissan Figaro (the perfect surprise from Finlay!). Think Audrey Hepburn - effortless sophistication👌🏻 We have to mention the beautiful hand stitched cocktail napkins made by Molly for favours, and a shout out to MC Callum (Molly’s brother) for holding the room.

We will not forget Finlay’s nervous anticipation before the ceremony, nor how quickly it disappeared when Molly met him at the top of the aisle. There’s something truly beautiful about a love so effortlessly visible between two people.

We wish you both nothing but the best ahead and remember you always have a home here 💕

Congratulations Leanne & Graham! It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and your family. The bridal prep is some of the most chilled we’ve seen - exactly how it should be. Not to mention smiles and laughter all round throughout the day. As fans of formula one, it was a theme expertly woven into the day - with the bridal party on the “Hamilton” table and the “race programme” replacing the schedule for the day, with the perfect amount of pit stops. An amazing instrumental version of the iconic F1 song was perfect for walking down the aisle too.

We wish you both, Hayden, Niven, & Ember the most wonderful future ahead.

🎉 1st Birthday 🎉

Happy Birthday to us! Today marks our first birthday - one year on from our first wedding here at Blackshaw Barns.

What a year it has been! We’ve met the most wonderful people. We feel so much joy and love being able to play a little part in such an important day for our wonderful couples.

This also means we share our birthday with our lovely first couple Karen & Jack. Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary! We will be forever grateful to you and our other couples for placing your trust in us.

Without this sounding even more like an award acceptance speech, thanks so much to our amazing friends, family, neighbours, and local supporters - we couldn’t do it without you all! We would have invited you all over for cake but it seems when ‘one of us’ were asked to pick up a celebration cake they bought the perfect portion for a 1 year old!

Here’s to lots of fun and love in year two!
