In the late 1980s and 1990s, "Daytimers" were a massive, underground cultural phenomenon in the UK consisting of daytime raves organized by and for British South Asian youth. These events allowed thousands of teenagers to experience the booming British club scene while navigating strict cultural boundaries and a hostile mainstream nightlife circuit.
