Hello, it’s been a busy baking morning here ready for tomorrows National Garden Scheme charity event at Tewin Greens Market Garden.

Last year it was very popular and my cakes disappeared very quickly, so I’m hoping the same agin this year and have made even more. This year on offer we have:
- Coconut Macaroons
- Biscoff Rocky Road
- Oreo cookie slice
- lemon drizzle cake
- chocolate cupcakes
- old fashioned school cake slices
- coconut and raspberry cake slice
- Shortbread biscuits

If you’d a change of scene on Sunday and fancy a wander or guided tour by Lloyd of the Market Garden please do come along to Tewin Greens, we are open 11:00-3:00. And of course maybe treat yourself to something sweet.

Did you manage to along to our Tewin Greens plant sale on Saturday? I had not only plants for sale but also cakes (lots of it!).

I was thrilled when one customer told me she had heard about the plant sale event via my Nellienoo Cakes page which made me feel confident that this page atill does reach my followers. So thank you of you came along via seeing my posts from Nellienoo Cakes.

I will soon be selling cakes via our Tewin Greens website. Hopefully using our organically grown produce from the land in my cakes when available.

Good morning - long post alert!

I have no idea who this will reach as I haven’t been active on my page for a while now.

Some news about what I have been doing:

So, I left Nellienoo Cakes to move onto working in a school (mostly as it worked whilst my children were in primary school). Whilst this happened we all went through covid which meant our family had to reassess what we were going to do. I continued working in a school whereas my husband lloyd move to tutoring online whilst also building a farm, yes quite different to tutoring I know! Now moving forwards to present day the farm (actually a market garden growing produce not an animal farm) is going really well, so much so that he has bow taken me on an employee to work full time. So, I am now a fully fledged farmer/market gardener at Tewin Greens.

We are having a plant sale on Sunday 11th May where I will also be selling cakes. I will share the event link seperatly in another post.

For now whilst I get into the swing of things my focus is learning my new role whilst also selling cakes at our events but please do reach out to me if you have an event coming up which you may want a cake for.

Made these Chelsea cupcakes this week for young lads birthday. Classic vanilla sponge cake with vanilla buttercream.

Forgot to get a nice photo so here are some in their little boxes before they were taken home.
