🍓 FAMILY DAY OUT! 🍓

With all the work completed at The Flower Hut Norfolk for today, we decided to take some family time and went over to Sharrington Strawberries for some strawberry picking!

Has anyone else been this year? 👇

The kids absolutely loved it, and there was so much lovely fruit and veg available. We even had to buy one of their little green baskets for £1 because we'd forgotten ours! 😂

Now be honest... what's the record for strawberries eaten before you've actually paid for them? Asking for a friend... 🍓😅

After our strawberry adventure, we headed into the heart of Holt and popped into Folly Tearooms and Garden to see Tim and the team. A delicious hot chocolate was definitely needed after getting caught in the rain! ☕🍫

AND!!! … the conversations about the C-word have officially begun... 🎄👀 🎄

Of course, no trip to Holt would be complete without calling in to see Lee at the Folly Ice cream parlour The choice was incredible, and yes... we couldn't resist an ice cream! 🍦

A brilliant family day, lots of laughs and belly full of berries! 🍓

A colourful fitting tribute to the wonderful Molly. A wonderful array and of lots of colour, which felt so appropriate as she was the light and brightness of life itself.

Creating funeral tributes always gives me time to reflect and reminds me why I do what I do during such difficult times. I genuinely believe that every funeral service should be about the person being remembered — a time for family and friends to reflect on their life, share memories, and remember who they were.

Through all the heartache, my aim is to help give them the best possible floral service, a personal, meaningful, and memorable service that honours a wonderful life well lived.

Not all funerals are a goodbye; sometimes they are simply a "see you soon." 💐

From FRIDAY 5th of June , there will be a selection of small, meaningful, hand-selected Quick Pick bouquets available to purchase from the little shop in the village.

Each bunch has been carefully hand selected, seasonal and will arranged by me, bringing a little bit of floral joy to your day.

Pop in, pick up what you need, and perhaps take home some beautiful blooms too! 💐

This little jar of chrysanthemums could have been the second most important thing I carried today...

You might be thinking 🤔... HOW??

When creating tribute letters for funerals, we only use the flower heads and a specific stem length. There are cutting techniques that help them grip better, and trust me — angles are everything!

Every flower head is checked for quality. Not too big, not too small, but just right for the piece being created, enough stems for the job too!

Of course, not everything is bulletproof, and this little jar could have been a lifesaver today. If a flower head fell out, broke, looked a little sad, or became discoloured, I wouldn't be happy with that.

I always have a backup plan... with another backup plan... and then another! Partly for my own peace of mind, but mainly to make sure everything is delivered in top form.
My point? Find yourself a florist who is adaptable, can solve problems quickly, and plans for the worst-case scenario.

The five P’s I live by 🙌

If you plan well and prep well, it won't lead to p**s poor performance. ✌️ xx
