As the dust settles on yet another incredible carnival, this year will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most significant, both historically and emotionally.
As mentioned in my previous post, our intention was to honour the memory of my best friend, Steve “Dancing” Daly. I can honestly say we achieved that and so much more.
A huge thank you to all the performers and fellow DJs who generously gave their time and talents to join us on the Mastermind Stage. Your support, energy and contribution helped make the weekend such a tremendous success.
To Team Mastermind, thank you for the countless hours of hard work, dedication, and commitment in the lead-up to the event and throughout the weekend. None of this would have been possible without you and the generous support of Supermalt.
To everyone who came down and partied with us, thank you. Seeing people from so many generations come together with friends and family, united by one simple mission - to celebrate, have fun and enjoy life was truly something special.
Finally, on behalf of the Daly family, thank you for all the kind words, messages, love and support. It was incredibly heartwarming and emotionally uplifting to see just how many lives Steve touched. The outpouring of affection was a powerful reminder of the impact he had on so many people and it gives us great comfort to know that his spirit, legacy and memory will live on forever.
As someone once said “A true friend never really leaves us. The legacy they create lives on in the stories we tell, the lives they touched and the love they leave behind.”
Steve’s legacy was evident for all to see this weekend. The music, the laughter, the unity and the love shared across those two days were a testament to the man he was and the countless people he inspired.
As they say, that’s a wrap.
Stay safe, cherish every moment and live your best life.
Only 362 days and counting until we do it all again.
Until then, keep dancing, keep smiling and keep Steve’s spirit alive.
