Apologies for the silence over the past few months but there has been a lot to navigate
As many of you already know, I made the decision to close the shop in July but it was my wish to honour all weddings booked in for the rest of this year. With the last wedding completed a few weeks ago it is time for me to give one final update
The recent increase in living costs has made it increasingly difficult to run any business and none more so than in the retail industry. In addition to this, a job which for years was my absolute life has now taken over my life and is keeping me away from those I love and wish to spend time with. The physical and mental exhaustion is real and turning 60 next year has made me realise more than ever that there is more to life.
So it is with a very heavy heart but also the knowledge that this is the right decision that I have closed the business
My dream from the moment I first stepped into the flower industry was to have a shop and I have realised that dream but I am now entering a new season in my life and it is a time when I want to be able to put my family and all those I love at the forefront of my life without the constraints on daily life running a business brings
In the last almost twenty years I have met and worked with the most amazing people celebrating all of lifeās events both happy and sad and without a doubt I will miss these interactions. To my fellow suppliers in the wedding industry we have laughed and we have, at times, moaned together and I will miss you all. And finally and most importantly to ALL the beautiful women I have had the fortune to have had working alongside me thank you from the bottom of my heart. I simply couldnāt have got through any of this without your hard work, love, loyalty and friendship.
I am not entirely sure what the coming months will hold but a new chapter awaits and I am going to embrace it with all that I have.
I love you all and thank you for all that you have been to me
