A slightly different kind of week for the asembl. team this week, as we headed to Portugal for our annual kick-off 🇵🇹☀️

While we took some valuable time away together as a team to reconnect, reflect and plan for the exciting months ahead, the business certainly didn’t stop. Events were still taking place, shipments were still being delivered, and client support continued as normal - something only possible thanks to our incredibly organised team, who planned everything meticulously in advance to ensure a seamless week all round 👏

A huge thank you to Andre and Margarida for all of their support in helping us bring the trip together - right down to the surprise dolphin spotting experience whilst out on the boat 🐬

We also want to thank the amazing staff at Onyria Marinha Cascais for taking such great care of us during our stay, and the fantastic team at Adega Regional de Colares for the incredible service during our gala dinner, which was the perfect way to round off the trip

🎨 Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Mike joined The Park in Sydney for their team afternoon at a create & make workshop - a brilliant opportunity to build connections in Australia and show off some hidden artistic talents

🌟 Weekly Round-Up with asembl 🌟

Another week packed with travel, client delivery, roadshows and team moments as we head into the bank holiday weekend. Here’s what the team have been up to this week👇

✈️ Sophie headed over to Montenegro for a FAM before flying on to IMEX Frankfurt. A huge thank you to Andre Van Der Bijl from for hosting, and to the Montenegro team - Anja Micanovic, Edil Omeragic, Irma Omeragic and Ivana Sofranac - for showcasing their beautiful country and everything it has to offer for events and incentives. We can’t wait to bring these experiences and insights back to our clients

🎤 Mat and Amy supported a client with a large conference at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. Another fantastic event delivered successfully - well done team for all the hard work behind the scenes to make it happen

🚚 Millie continued the Softcat roadshow, this week supporting events in both Bristol and Leeds, helping everything run smoothly from start to finish

🎥 This week also saw the release of Liv’s alumni interview video. It was brilliant to hear both Liv and Gavin talking about their experiences with The Event Academy and the importance of inspiring and supporting the next generation of people looking to build a career in events

🎂 Another double birthday celebration this week for Kate and Natalie - always a good excuse for cake and a team catch-up

💇‍♂️ And finally, Daniel braved the shave and had his long locks cut off to donate to the - such an amazing cause, and we’re incredibly proud of him for raising both awareness and funds for the charity 👏

After another busy week, the team are ready to switch off and enjoy the long bank holiday weekend - and with a bit of sunshine forecast too, we certainly won’t complain ☀️

We’re taking on a BIG challenge this summer. 💪

On 17th July, six members of the asembl. agency team — Amy, Mat, Sophie C, Sophie B, Leah, and Hollie — will all be walking the distance of a full marathon in just one day along the South Downs Way. 🥾

This isn’t just about the miles (though there are plenty of those!), we’re proud to be raising funds for our charity partner, Rowans Hospice. Their incredible work supporting patients and families makes a real difference, and we’re honoured to support them.

The team has already started training, and as we prepare for the big day, we'd love your support in reaching our target. Every penny counts 💚

🏨 We kicked things off with a partner day at Langshot Manor and Alexander House - a great opportunity to spend time with partners, explore the properties, and continue building strong industry relationships

🍽️ Zoe enjoyed dinner with Maria Yacoub from Great Hotels of the World at German Gymnasium alongside Okura Hotels - always valuable to connect with partners and keep conversations flowing outside of the office

🎂 We celebrated Sophie’s birthday in the only acceptable way… with a classic Connie the Caterpillar cake 🐛

🍴 We welcomed Debi from Maritim Hotels to HQ for a lunch & learn session with the team, helping us stay up to date with their latest properties and offerings for our clients

💼 We also supported a client exhibiting at the HR Leadership Summit at the Kia Oval in London with swag delivery and graphic support for their stand

✈️ Zoe, Steve and Gav have jetted off to Kimpton Mallorca for asembl. Unplugged - a client event focused on connection, collaboration and creating memorable experiences in an incredible setting

📋 Sophie and Kate spent three days working alongside a consultant as we prepare for some exciting accreditations we’re currently working towards - a really positive step forward for the business and the team

📍 Sophie and Hannah headed to HR Tech at ExCeL London to visit a client whose stand we had arranged - always great to see our work come to life and support clients on the ground

🚆 Steve, Hollie, Zoe and Sophie travelled to Bristol for a client pitch - a valuable opportunity to spend time together, understand client needs, and talk through some exciting upcoming projects

🏢 Steve and Sophie also headed out for a site visit to Together, continuing to explore and build out great options for our clients

🎤 We welcomed Event Academy into the office to interview Liv as part of an alumni feature they’re creating - we’re looking forward to seeing the final piece!

🧁 We kicked things off with birthday celebrations for Mike - all the way over in Australia! Distance didn’t stop us, with personalised cupcakes delivered to make sure he still felt part of the team

🏨 Amy and Sophie headed out on a FAM with Sarova Hotels experiencing three of their four properties. They stayed at The Bull and Sir Christopher Wren, before a site visit and lunch at The Remembrant and on to watch Wicked - a fantastic opportunity to deepen our knowledge and ensure we’re recommending the very best options to our clients

🍽️ We welcomed Toni Martin from Harbour Hotels to HQ for a lunch & learn session with the team, continuing to build strong relationships and stay up to date with the latest offerings across their portfolio

🌆 Chrissie supported a client event at 20 Stories in Manchester, delivering a seamless and memorable evening experience

📍 Gavin and Zoe were out on a site visit at Jin Bo Law in London, exploring another great venue to add to our client recommendations

🚀 Gavin also attended the Elevate Mentoring launch and White Rabbit Studios - Shoreditch, with a highlight being a video from Mike sharing insights from the Australia Mentoring Launch - a great example of collaboration across our global network

🌍 Julie has been supporting a client at their AI Summit in Amsterdam at The Hoxton Lloyd, as well as in Stockholm at the impressive Convendum conference space - ensuring delivery at an international level

👋 We kicked off the week by welcoming Chrissie to the team! She brings a wealth of experience and energy, already helping us deliver even more for our clients.

☘️ St Patrick’s Day was a festive highlight - the team dressed in green, enjoyed Irish-themed snacks, and homemade shamrock shortbread from our resident baker. A fun midweek boost for the whole team!

✈️ James jetted to Seoul to provide on-site support for a new client, making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

🚚 Cerys and Millie continued the Softcat Roadshow, visiting Manchester and London to deliver engaging sessions with clients.

📸 Julie supported Epson at The Photography Show, NEC Birmingham, overseeing a standout exhibition stand and ensuring everything ran seamlessly.

🥂 Becky had a busy day in London - a lunch and show round at Hoxton Southwark with Jeff Sergejev and Dorota Mmireku, followed by a wonderful evening at Strand Palace hosted by Iconic Hotels. Champagne, theatre, and amazing hospitality - perfect for experiencing venues and building industry connections.

🍽️ Josie attended a dinner with Avenue Sales at The Bloomsbury Hotel, connecting with industry peers and sharing insights for upcoming projects.

🌍 Hannah and Julie headed to Barcelona for a client partner kick-off, focusing on AI-driven quality engineering, partnership strategies, and collaboration for the year ahead.

🤠 Zoe and Leah represented asembl. at the CN Agency Awards at The Brewery, London, embracing the Country & Western dress code and celebrating the best in the industry.

🎤 Next week the team heads to Berlin for a large-scale client event - months of planning coming to life, showcasing our expertise on an international stage.
