That moment when the wedding ceremony script is attached to the email and my finger is hovering over the Send key...

I’m excited.
I’m nervous.
I’ve read it approximately 237 times.

You’ve trusted me with your stories.
You’ve told me what this wedding means to you, who needs to feel included, and which bits you make you feel good and what could make you cringe.
And here is all of that, written by me, for your wedding ceremony.
Attached to this little email.

In my corporate life I’ve faced some pretty brutal client feedback, so I have developed tough skin and I have big pants.

But, my people pleasing personality goes absolutely feral when I send you the first script.

I want you to tell me if something doesn’t work. I want to know if there are bits you simply don’t like. I want to know if something’s been missed.

But above all, I am desperately hoping you love it.

Thank you for trusting me to create this for you.

Right, pressing send.
And manifesting. Like mad.
xx

A rehearsal of your wedding ceremony can really help when it comes to pre-Wedding nerves.

I talked to so many couples getting married who are lying awake at night worrying about the logistics.

When you choose to have a Celebrant wedding ceremony, you can have a rehearsal the day before or the weekend before.

you can practice who’s standing where when you’re standing up when you’re sitting down and how you get from one end of the aisle to the other and still end up in the right place.

It’s one of several practical reasons why choosing a Celebrant for your Wedding can make all the difference to your wedding day.

If you, or your partner, are feeling really nervous about standing up in front of everybody during your wedding ceremony, then try this.

Because I hear this ALL the time.

Too romantic feels uncomfortable.

Being vulnerable is scary.

And everybody looking at you while you stand there and say incredibly personal things out loud?

No thanks.

You’re going to be nervous. Of course you are.

But there are definitely ways to make it feel easier.

There are no set rules in a celebrant ceremony.

You don’t have to stand up and pour your heart out if that’s not you.

You don’t have to have loads of romantic words said about you while you stand there wondering who on earth they’re talking about.

You don’t have to suddenly become Wedding You.

Choose the right celebrant for you.

Talk about what makes you uncomfortable.

Choose words that actually sound like you.

And build a ceremony where you know what’s coming and you feel comfortable in it.

You might still be nervous.

But at least you’ll be nervous being yourself.

If you’re looking at Instagram’s version of a wedding and thinking you don’t quite fit in, give me a follow.

You’re my kind of people.

Weddings have a mammoth to-do list.

It can feel never ending.

Celebrants all bang on about your wedding ceremony being all about you, fully personal, full of what makes you, you… blah blah blah 😊

All true.

But it’s not just the emotional upgrades for choosing to have a celebrant.

There are some big, rational reasons too.

Number one, get it done.
Get your celebrant on with writing your (personalised 😍) script at a time that’s convenient.

Review it, update it, change it. Approve it.

Job done. ✔️

Freeing you up for one of the other forty bazillion things to do.

Doesn’t it feel great to tick things off your wedmin list.
Venue sorted.
Date locked in.
Next? So many times, couples look straight to book the Registrar.

I get it.
And it’s often the venues that recommend you get this ticked off the list.

And it blows my mind a bit.

You spend hours devouring the tasting menu
You pour over different photographer’s curated galleries
Your dress search has become a second job

But the person leading your ceremony? That was a nano-second email to the council.

The start of your day where everyone is silent, intently listening carefully to catch every word you say, to understand what this means to you both, to watch the emotions flow...

That bit of the day?
You’re leaving that to chance?

I’m not registrar bashing, but you will not know who you are getting.
If you’re lucky they can do some personalisation beyond choosing Script A, B or C.

The feels and the emotions of your ceremony - that is something I definitely don’t think warrants just to be ticked off the list.

I’m a wedding celebrant.
I create wedding ceremonies that sound like you.

Every word.
From scratch.
By me.
For you.

If you’re getting married again, you don’t need every wedding pro telling you that you need to make it perfect because you “only do this once.”

You already know that’s not the case.

I don’t think the wedding industry has a problem with second weddings, I just think it just doesn’t really see them very clearly.

But things are different.
You may have children, exes, history, opinions.
New things you didn’t need to think about before.
A different kind of view of the future.

That deserves to be understood properly, which is where having a celebrant led ceremony can make a huge difference to your whole day.

It’s not about doing it once perfectly, it’s about shouting to the world and celebrating like you mean it. ⭐️⭐️

Maybe this is your second or third wedding, or just a bit later in life. Or maybe it is your first time.

Either way, the wedding world can sometimes look like everyone wants the same thing, is roughly the same age and aspires to the same day.

I’m much more interested in the version that actually feels like you.

Kids. Stepchildren. Big families. Tiny families. History. Complications. Huge joy. None of it needs smoothing into some shiny wedding version of your life.

Be gloriously yourselves.

That’s plenty.
