This week Alderson House was delighted to host the beautiful wedding of Anita and Peter.

With 26 close family and friends, the celebrations began with a harpist welcoming guests, setting a truly magical atmosphere. After a delicious three-course wedding breakfast, everyone was treated to live entertainment by the talented Lydia Bruton.

As the evening unfolded, charcuterie boards were served, adding the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful day of love, laughter, and celebration.

On Saturday, Alderson House proudly opened its doors to the public as part of Heritage Open Days 2025.

We were delighted to welcome around 70 guests, who enjoyed guided tours of this beautiful historic building, dating back to 1695. Visitors were shown around by members of the lodges that meet here, sharing stories of the house’s fascinating past and its place in Warwick’s history.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to our volunteers who made the day such a success! 💙

We are delighted to announce that, for the third time, Alderson House has won this year’s Warwick in Bloom Commercial Garden award!

It’s an honour to be recognised alongside such esteemed neighbours as Warwick Boat Club and last year’s winners Warwick Racecourse.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all competitors and neighbours who took part, the standard this year was truly outstanding, and we’re delighted to have been part of such a vibrant and beautifully presented community event.

Thank you to our wonderful gardening team at Alderson House, the Warwick in Bloom judges, and, of course, our supportive community. Your appreciation means the world to us!

Pimms on the Lawn – What Could Be Better?
This month we were delighted to welcome the Commanderie du Taste Saumur, Warwick Chapter for a very special afternoon.
Guests enjoyed refreshing Pimms on the lawn, followed by a beautifully served afternoon tea in the elegant surroundings of Alderson House. 🍓☕🍰
Although the Commanderie are regular visitors, this was their first time experiencing afternoon tea with us – and we’re thrilled to hear they absolutely loved it!
We look forward to welcoming them back again soon.

Feathers, Frills & Fancy Footwork!

Last weekend, the Warwick Regency Dancers brought history to life at Alderson House - our magnificent grade II–listed 17th-century gem nestled in the heart of Warwick, complete with its original galleried staircase and elegant oak-paneled dining room.

As the sun began to set, guests were welcomed onto the award-winning garden lawn with graceful Regency style drinks receptions. Laughter and conversation flowed as the gentle breeze and period ambience set the perfect tone.

Inside, a sumptuous three-course feast awaited in the intimate dining room. Rich period flavours and beautifully presented dishes added to the elegance of the evening.

Then came the crowning moment: dancing the night away, regency style! With music, calling, and costumes transporting everyone back to the Regency era, the Warwick Regency Dancers showed us how to waltz, quadrille, and gig to perfection. Whether seasoned or new to the steps, all had a marvelous time.
