Meet Steve, our Production Lead!

🤣 What’s your top tip for running a successful event?
To treat absolutely everyone on site with respect and kindness. I know it seems obvious, but when it gets stressful or it's a long, tiring day, it's easy to be short with someone.

Everyone is there to do their job, so if you can make it that little bit easier, or crack a joke to make them laugh then that's a good thing.

🎶 Music you play while prepping for an event?
This can vary massively, but at the moment I'm listening to Nathan Micay's music, who people might know as the composer on the TV series Industry.

🦸‍♂️ What’s your “superpower” on event day?
Terrible jokes!!

Kew Gardens… a spectacular setting for a charity dinner.

Guests arrived to the beautiful sounds of a string quartet, mingling as they discovered more about the phenomenal work of the B&Q Foundation.

As dusk settled, they were whisked away on a twilight land train tour through the gardens, arriving at the breathtaking Temperate House.

The evening concluded with a stunning dinner set and live music within the awe-inspiring surroundings of this iconic venue.

An unforgettable evening in support of an incredible charity.

Not one but TWO big internal promotions here at Maverick Live. We are thrilled to announce that Vicky Cruse & Sam Small have been promoted to ‘Executive Producers’.

These two superstars sit at the heart of Maverick Live’s client experience, and these new roles will provide a platform to elevate the ‘Beyond Expectation’ service level we are known for.

Big news from team Maverick.

We’ve been shortlisted for four awards at the Conference & Events Awards 2026.

That includes Best Events Agency, Best Event by an Agency, Most Engaging & Creative Event, and Best Development of an Existing Conference/Event.

We’re absolutely delighted. These nominations are a lovely bit of recognition for the ideas, planning, production and teamwork that go into every event we deliver.
