On Friday both directors of AAA inflatables Ltd and Bouncy Castle Hire Ltd attended the inflatable and showman's SHAD safety training day in Birmingham
Hosted by P**A and ADIPS who represent the main inspection schemes in the UK for Inflatable and showman's activities, this important day is to raise industry awareness on safety and industry related developments.
The heath and safety executive were in attendance and presented on a number of issues they will be focusing on in 2026.
We also had presentations from both P**A and ADIPS on their progress towards UKAS accreditation. This important development will give oversight and much better management of both schemes and firms a vital part of the new HSG175 safety document due for release shortly.
In addition we had presentations on generator and electrical safety, covering the newly updated rules around PAT electrical safety testing.
Basic fire awareness, use if different fire fighting apparatus and how to approach and deal with basic fire issues.
The importance on our paperwork, daily, monthly and annual inspections and how they are recorded
Barriers and crowd control methods and their requirements around amusement devices
