Why don't you join us to observe the Solar Eclipse with us?

At about 18:45 the light will start to dim and the you will find yourself in a strange, hushed twilight with the temperature suddenly dropping as the Sun begins to disappear behind the Moon.

Everything will be uncannily still and the birds go quiet.

And then, because the Sun has not yet set, daylight will return as quickly as it left and the world will continue as if nothing had happened.

If you can't made it this time, don't worry the next full solar eclipse in the UK is due to take place in 64 years on 23 September 2090.

Miss It Miss Out!
You will require special Eclipse Glasses because you can't look at the Sun directly during this strange phenomenon.

Did you know that today is National Receptionist Day? It celebrated in several countries including in the UK, Australia, Canada and the USA.

It is a day to appreciate their dedication and recognise the value of a receptionist’s role. Sometimes called the most important people in the office, they are the first person a customer, visitor or guest meet when they enter our golf club.

However, as they are often overworked and underappreciated, but on this special day (if you are passing by our reception desk), just say thanks for all you do!
