If you’ve been to the cinema to catch Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, you might have spotted our London rehearsal facility, The Mill, featuring in the film.

The band rehearsed at The Mill ahead of their Live ’25 tour, and it’s a real privilege to now see a glimpse of those preparations captured on screen as part of the story behind their return to the stage.

We’re honoured to have played a small part in this chapter of music history, and to see The Mill feature in a moment that meant so much to so many.

The local community has always been a huge part of Production Park, and we’re proud to support the people and organisations around us whenever we can.

Over the summer, our team has been busy getting involved in a number of fantastic community events, using our skills and expertise to help bring them to life.

PitFest

We were pleased to provide audio support for PitFest, a community event raising funds to support a local family following the heartbreaking loss of their mum to cancer. It was a privilege to play a small part in an event that brought people together to support the family during such a difficult time.

Frickley Athletic FC Fundraising Festival

We also provided the full technical production for Frickley Athletic’s fundraising festival, including audio, lighting and stage management. The event brought the community together while raising vital funds to support the club’s ongoing operations and wider community work.

We recently welcomed Absolute Motion Control Ltd to campus as they took over Studio 001 to fly-test the production for Moulin Rouge! The Musical World Tour.

Working alongside Unusual Rigging, the team had the entire show rigged, tested and packed into shipping containers in under a week , putting the flying system through its paces ahead of a busy run of shows. It’s another great example of our studios supporting the world of live production beyond touring music.

Matt Towell, Production Manager for the tour, commented:
“At the end of our testing week at Production Park we had a fully tested, commissioned and pre-programmed system to use in three challenging venues in China and several others in Asia.”

We took advantage of the glorious weather and rounded our Summer All Hands meeting up with a BBQ and Corn Hole tournament accompanied by an amazing DJ set from ALT lecturer, Graham Thorne.

Our All Hands meetings are an opportunity for everyone across Production Park and Academy of Live Technology (ALT) to come together, take stock of where we are, celebrate achievements and look ahead.

Thanks to all of the CentR Stage team for the BBQ!

Some of you may have seen the extreme weather that hit London last week, resulting in flash flooding across parts of the capital.

Unfortunately, our London studio, The Mill, was affected by the flooding. Following investigations, the cause was identified as an issue with the Business Park's drainage system.

We're pleased to reassure our clients that the drainage issue has now been fully rectified, with a complete inspection and clean-out of the Business Park drainage network carried out. All necessary remedial works within The Mill have also been completed, and the studio is now fully operational.

We'd like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while the work was carried out, and we look forward to welcoming clients back as normal.

Production Park Members, SIXTY82 brought industry expertise to campus back in April, utilising Studio 004 for an in-depth truss training session focused on the safe design and application of truss systems, event structures and stage roofs.

Led by SIXTY82 CTO Marc Hendriks, the session welcomed more than 70 industry professionals for an in-depth look at the safe design, application and management of truss systems, event structures and stage roofs. Attendees gained valuable insights into industry regulations, safety responsibilities, structural forces and environmental considerations, drawing on decades of real-world expertise.

Reflecting on the event, Johnny Marshall, Director at SIXTY82, said: "It was valuable to host the event at Production Park as it’s a well-known industry location, making it a relevant and professional setting for the training. It created a fantastic atmosphere for learning, networking and sharing real-world experience."

It's great to see members of our community bringing high-quality training opportunities to campus, helping to strengthen skills, share knowledge and support professional development across the live events industry.
