Hello all

Whilst the lovely weather is great for most of us, unfortunately it isn't so good for business.

As many of my customers know, flowers don't like the heat. Because of this, I've made the decision not to purchase any fresh flowers while the temperatures are so high. I don't want to disappoint anyone by selling flowers that won't last as long as they should, and I also want to avoid unnecessary waste.

due the heat there is no flower at caldergrove.

Heat dramatically accelerates their aging process, causing them to wilt and fade much faster. In such extreme warmth and the temperatures we are experiencing a bouquet can lose up to 50% of its hydration within a few hours and cause heat stress.

Due to the longevity in 31 degree temperatures your flowers simply wont last unless you have an air conditioned home, so for this reason I only have flower at the green berry horbury a cheaper option typically used with the cheaper end flower with a longer vase life which are kept in an air-conditioned controlled temperature in which flowers should be stored.

Please see below instruction for keeping your flowers in the heat.

Customer Notice

Due to the extreme temperatures, I won’t have any flowers available this week. While I could continue selling flowers, I would rather be upfront and honest with my customers.

The heat accelerates bacteria growth, causes flowers to lose moisture, and makes stems wilt much faster. Even when kept in a cooler room, with the temperatures we are currently experiencing, the flowers would only last a few days.

I never want to provide anything less than the quality you expect or leave my customers disappointed.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

And if you still do require flower and dont mind only lasting a few days we have a handful of aquapacks and bags available at the green berry horbury keeping chilled in our refrigerated space x

If you require flowers I only have availability at the Green Berry horbury these are indoors keeping cool and fresh in our refrigerated space the perfect temperature for flowers to be stored
