Cousley Wood Village Events

As we plan our next events for Cousley Wood we are holding our general meeting at The Old Vine on Tuesday 31 March at 7.30pm to agree and formalise our processes and procedures for the year ahead. This includes things like:

• Treasurer’s financial report
• Event round up for 2025
• Planned events for 2026
• To elect members to the Committee for the upcoming year.
• Any Other Business

All village residents are welcome to attend.

If you would like to come along, please email us at [email protected] to register your attendance so we can plan for numbers.

If you know neighbours or other village residents who aren’t on Facebook, please feel free to let them know about the meeting and ask them to email us if they’d like to attend.

What a fab evening we had last night with all the good people of Cousley Wood.
A few thank yous: Dan and Simone and the team at theoldvine, Wadhurst Brass Band Michael Wheeler who supplied the magnificent Christmas tree, all our volunteers and Paul Allen for the loan of the marquees and audio equipment. Thank you also to Wadhurst Parish Council who approved our application for a defibrillator for the village. We will be working with them over the next few months to get it installed.
And thank you to you all for coming along to support our village event. See you in the summer.

All done. Thanks to everyone who turned up to help on a very cold but beautiful morning. Unfortunately, we forgot to get a photo of all the Cousley Wood Elves.

Less than a week to go and the Cousley Wood Elves are gearing up for the delivery and decorating of the tree this weekend.

If you forgot to put the date in the diary, we are back at The Old Vine from 5pm this Sunday 30th November for mince pies and mulled wine and Christmas carols accompanied by Wadhurst Brass Band. TOV wil be doing BBQ burgers, chicken burgers, hot dogs and halloumi burgers.

The Cousley Wood Christmas tree lights turn on at The Old Vine will be from 5pm on Sunday 30 November.

It was hot hot hot.
What a brilliant day we had yesterday. Thank you to everyone who turned up, brought delicious cakes and took part in the cricket. Thank you to our lovely volunteers who helped set up, cook sausages, manned the bar and umpired
And not just one fly past by The Red Arrows but two!
Great to see so many of our friends and neighbours and to meet our new landlord of The Old Vine, Dan, who came to support us.
