Above all else, you will be the friendly face that our customers remember, and you may also be a barista or a crêpe chef although previous experience is not essential. Regardless, you’ll get to know our menu inside out and you’ll become a key member of a close team who individually and collectively enjoy delighting customers with great coffee, local ice cream and some of the best crêpes in Cornwall.
 
We are the Atlantic Coast Express or ‘ACE’ as it’s lovingly known. A beautifully converted vintage train carriage serving al fresco snacks and drinks to anyone arriving at the halfway point of the Camel Trail between Wadebridge and Padstow. Whether arriving by foot, bicycle, boat or pony our visitors look forward to stopping at ACE for great tasting, perfectly brewed coffee, award winning ice cream and delicious sweet and savoury crêpes. If you would like to be part of the small and hard-working ACE team in 2026, we would like to hear from you.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Mark’s passing last week. Mark was a brilliant colleague and a true friend and mentor to all of us at the café. His friendly manner and kindness touched the lives of everyone who met him over the last 7 years. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

We don’t really know what else to do or say 🤷‍♂️

Since lockdown, town centres just haven’t been the same — so many amazing small businesses have closed or moved on. Sadly, we’re now at the point of considering the same. 😔

We’re beyond grateful for everyone who still shops with us, but the drop in customers this past year has been huge, and we’re honestly running out of ideas to keep our little shop going.

Like so many local businesses, we were there for you through lockdown — when you needed a friendly face, a donation for your local club or charity, or just a chat.

Now, we really need your support.
Even the smallest swap helps — grab your apples 🍎 or a few bits from us instead of the supermarket, and you’d be amazed what a difference that makes 🫶🏼

We know times are tough — we’re feeling it too. But shopping local genuinely keeps businesses like ours alive. 💛
