🃏 An ace stay is always on the cards! 🃏

We had the great pleasure of welcoming Lisvane Bridge Club to the Glen-Yr-Afon this week for their annual tutoring break.

Two days of competitive play, plenty of good humour and, of course, some essential Quality Street supplied by Carol and Keith! 🍫

Combined with good food, comfortable surroundings and plenty of Glen-Yr-Afon hospitality, it meant that all of our guests were winners — whatever the result at the bridge table! ♠️♥️♦️♣️

We’re SO excited to announce that The Copper Tree — Usk’s premier ladies’ boutique — is moving into Glen Yr Afon Hotel this December! 🥂👗

Established in 1998, this fabulous family-run boutique is renowned for gorgeous Mother of the Bride & Mother of the Groom occasion wear, alongside beautiful smart and casual clothing. We think this will be a fabulous addition to the hotel and we’re already looking forward to it. 💕✨

And of course… there’s going to be a LAUNCH PARTY! 🥂🎉

🏁 911 x 3 🏁

No, it’s not part of the Countdown numbers round… but we did have three gleaming Porsches visiting the Glen-Yr-Afon this week! 🏎️🏎️🏎️

We had the great pleasure of welcoming Sanj, Jim and Martin on the return leg of their Welsh tour, having enjoyed some fantastic driving through West Wales and the Brecon Beacons.

With Usk perfectly placed as a touring base, there are some fantastic roads and scenery right on our doorstep, making the Glen-Yr-Afon a great place to return to after a day exploring Wales.

Thank you, Sanj, Jim and Martin, for choosing to stay with us and for your very kind comments about your visit. It was a pleasure to have you with us.

Wishing you all a very safe journey home – and we hope those three 911s find their way back to Usk again soon! 🏎️🇬🇧
