fyi regarding photo quality. 📸

all my photos are being uploaded to facebook at a lower resolution than usual. I've had a few issues this summer with people thieving via AI etc and have come to the conclusion that this is something I just have to do.

I hate doing it, I feel people will automatically assume that the uploaded version is the true quality which I assure you, it isnt.

for prints, digital copies etc, I use the original high resolution image.

hopefully you can all understand why I have to do this.

thanks,

jade. ✌️

EDINBURGH 2026.

sometimes the most random snaps become your favourites.

i was photographing riders on the mile and just quickly turned around to snap a shot of the flag lowering, didn't think anything great would come out of it because of the sun being so bright but i'm not gonna lie, i kinda love this shot.

i've got a few previews ready to go, they'll be uploaded later tonight. tomorrow i'll be locking in and getting as much done as i can so please keep an eye on this page over the next few days as i get myself and the thousands of photos i took sorted and uploaded!

🏰Spectator Viewing Points for the 2026 Edinburgh Riding of the Marches for this Sunday 13th September.

We are SO looking forward to welcoming you all to this Sunday's Edinburgh Riding of the Marches. We have a full day ahead, full of horses, entertainment and an amazing People's Procession!

👪This year we have provided much more detail of the best places to watch the horses in the morning as well as their route in to Edinburgh city centre, so please do line the route where you can and cheer the horses on!

👉Please note that due to the closure of the section of Duddingston Low Road, we sadly are still unable to bring the horses through Duddingston Village. Please see our spectator viewing points in the link below for alternative viewing points.

The day includes 3 aspects:

1. Horses

2. Edinburgh People's Procession

3. Royal Mile Entertainment

Don't forget that it is FREE to watch the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches!

We are a small team of volunteers who fundraise and plan all year round to make the day happen. If you'd like to make a donation towards our charitable causes, you can do so here: https://edinburghridingofthemarches.com/donate/ - thank you!
