I have to share this. Please remember to ask these questions when booking a face painter/ body artist. They are painting onto your child's skin. Don't be afraid to ask. I encourage parents to ask questions about my paints etc.
If you want my work free to the public I charge per hour but do special deal if want me all day. I have been a body artist since 2011, airbrushing since 22
Fully insured and use EU regulated, British made paints
If for any reason I can't make an event (family emergency, illness etc) , I go through my contracts to sort out a plan B
Pay for a professional not amateurs 💕🫶

This weekend I have had THREE calls and messages asking for help as their face painter/entertainer had let them down last minute.

No professional entertainer worth their salt would do this unless they are on deaths door. There are also a lot of people out there selling their services at the moment that are not professional quality, not insured and have cheap kits from china or poor hygiene and using craft glitter.

So here is our guide of what to look for when booking a face painter.

1. A quality face painter will charge you an hourly rate. It is their job after all.
A professional face painter charges £65-£80 per hour.

2. Look through their socials and website to view their work. There is a vast difference in quality. And do they have reviews from customers? Some use family and friends to bolster their reviews when new, so don't rely on this.

3. Ask questions..... do you have insurance? What products do you use? (Snazaroo are safe but not good and often a sign of amateur face painter) How long have you been doing this?

4. Ask to see the face painters set up.
Does it look neat clean and professional or are their paints scattered around and brushes upside down in a pot? 😬 Do they have several water pots to soap and rinse? Do they use one sponge per child rather than per colour.

5. Booking process. A good face painter will likely send you an invoice or booking form and take a booking fee.

6. Booking a pro is important so they know how to avoid spread of infectious disease. They know to paint children of the right age (3+)
Their exsperience will also reflect in their speed and designs.

Childrens skin is delicate and yes they do know the difference between good and bad face paint! So make your event the best it can be and avoid disappointment!
