It’s 3.30pm and I’m officially melted. Three nursery parties down and one very bubbley, slightly breathless science lady here 🙋♀️
A huge thank you to Ducklings Pre-school Chickerell, Chuckles Nursery (Budmouth), and St John's Nursery for having me at your end-of-term celebrations today! I had an absolute blast/
Admittedly, my bubble-blowing powers were a little more impressive at 9am than they were at 2pm, sorry St John’s, I think my mouth gave up before I did! But the joy, curiosity and learning stayed strong all day long.
Because bubbles? Oh, they’re more than just fun.
They help with breath control, speech development, coordination and they introduce kids to big science words like “Bubbleologist,” “molecules,” and “sphere.”
They spark wonder, laughter and science smarts all at once. And really, what more could you want?
Today I taught 2-4 years olds how to blow bubbles and the science behind them, but really, they taught me how to keep going when you’re slightly sweaty and covered in soap. 😅
