🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP — PLEASE SHARE 🚨

Our Team Prom work mobile phone has been taken, and unfortunately it holds so much of what we need to keep things running as normal — messages, enquiries, bookings and important business information.

We’re asking whoever has it to please return it.

We can see the phone’s last known location, which is very close to our Nottingham store, and the phone has since been switched off.

To whoever has it: the phone itself is worth very little, but to us it is incredibly important. We just want it back so we can continue looking after our customers as normal.

This isn’t a post i wanted to make today.

This weekend i received a chargeback from my card payment company for £150.00.

I spent my whole day off going through CCTV, phone logs, orders and receipts.

The person in question called end of August and ordered the bouquet and paid over the phone, they then came to collect the bouquet the following day.

They have now claimed it was a fraudulent transaction and was in fact not them..
Yet, someone came to collect the bouquet.

I contacted the customer with the details they had left thinking it was a genuine mistake for them to now block my number.

So not only has it cost me the loss of a £150.00 bouquet, but now i have to pay the card company/bank the £150.00 back along with charges for the charge back!
How is this fair?!

I’ve also had to pay for more CCTV to be fitted and extra security measures in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

I’m sure everyone is fed up people saying about how hard it is to have a small business right now.
But it IS really hard and things like this make it so much harder.
We are a small family business and this business was created from scratch 7 years ago (this month) to support our families, to simply pay our bills and bring our beautiful flowers into peoples homes.

Please don’t do this. It really is hard enough x

What i wish more people knew..

Not all Wedding Quotes are the same.

On paper it appears one florist is more expensive than the other..

- Flower design will differ (each florist has their own unique style, from More flowers to more expensive flowers to even using different grades.. you wont see us using supermarket grade flowers in your wedding flowers😭)

- Service will differ, we can hand deliver your items, include full set up if needed, source items you need if we don’t stock them and collect everything if needed too!

- Overheads will differ (Some work from home and some work from their own shops)

- Experience will differ (someone with more experience generally costs more)

- Are they insured? (All venues will want their insurance)

- How long have they been in business? (This one is tricky but as i see time and time again people being let down by a cheaper quote on the internet and then let down in extremely short notice- its a tough call)

- Why is it cheaper? Where are they cutting corners? A viable business cannot afford to undercut other florists unless they are doing something very different

- A florist charging the right amount to cover their talent, experience,
Expenses will take the time, care and effort to get to know you, learn your story, your vision and work with you to create it. They will reply to your emails and help and advise you along the way.

Cheaper isn’t always better… it very rarely ever is 💛
