What a day!

R & R entrusted me with the planning, design, styling and on the day coordination of their incredible east meets west wedding held in 5 tipis (!) at for over 200 guests . When your couple meet at a rave and their brief is to celebrate in full Hindu traditional by day and then switch up the rave vibes by night, you know it's going to be one hell of a party.

The day started with all the tradition. A stunning breakfast to welcome close family and guests followed by the grooms fabulous arrival - think smoke bombs, drums and the children stealing his shoes (such a sweet wedding day tradition!) . Then the most beautiful and mesmerising Hindu ceremony by the amazing . A fabulous buffet lunch followed filled with the most amazing curries & pastries. As beautiful as they were delicious! And then for two hours everyone leaves to rest and change into their evening finery. In which time me and the team, with the help of a fabulous bunch of suppliers who all chipped in to completely transform all 5 tipi's for a night of feasting and raving!

Everything from the table decor and layout to the flowers were completely redesigned in the fastest 2 hours of my life! By day we had opted for tonal white's and nudes so that the bride in her stunning red sari would be the one to add the colour. But by night R&R were keen for us to make the tipi's almost unrecognisable from the feel of the day. The awesome and unflappable brought all the colour adding bright blooms to all the stunning floral displays. While we got busy adding colourful lighting , linen, tableware and signage to complete the decor overhaul.
