Yesterday was another intensely productive rehearsal for the upcoming live shows at Trading Boundaries LIVE and Lowell Celebrates Kerouac !

And a quick announcement: our buddy Simon White will be joining us on woodwinds for these shows. Simon made a few guest appearances on The Last Pink Glow playing clarinet and saxophone; he'll be playing his parts on those songs as well as covering the various woodwinds from the previous albums. Welcome aboard, Simon!

In Memoriam: Dave Cousins (1940–2025)

It is with deep sadness that Trading Boundaries acknowledges the passing of Dave Cousins, the incomparable songwriter, singer, and founding force behind the Strawbs, who died peacefully on July 13, 2025, at Pilgrims Hospice, Canterbury, following a long illness at the age of 85.

Our Shared Moments
Dave has always felt part of the TB family with the Strawbs being one of the first bands performing here when we launched our live music 15 years ago, to playing one of his last shows on our stage last summer.

Each visit was more than a concert - it was an intimate rite, with Dave’s voice and storytelling charm gently weaving through the room. He treated our venue as more than a space; it was a gathering of friends. Numerous patrons have shared memories of those nights - the warmth, the harmony, and the unmistakable sense of being part of Dave’s musical family. This was highlighted by Dave being asked on stage by his great friend and collaborator Rick Wakeman during his solo show here in February 2024.

We send our deepest condolences to Dave’s family, collaborators, and the global community of Strawbs fans.
