Happy Birthday to us! 🎉

Two years ago today, we (Lauren & Towfique) took a massive leap of faith and reopened The Piltdown Man. What followed has been an incredible journey of growth, hard work, challenges, laughter, and so many unforgettable moments.

With the support, passion, and dedication of our fantastic team, we’ve grown and developed day by day into a venue loved by locals and visitors from further afield. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built together.

A huge thank you to our amazing team, who put their heart and soul into everything they do, and to every single customer who has supported us along the way. Whether you’ve popped in for a pint, brought the children to enjoy the play area, joined us for a Sunday roast, attended one of our tasting evenings, trusted us with your special events, invited us to cater in your home, or become one of our loyal Taste & Toast Club members — thank you.

You have all played a part in making The Piltdown Man what it is today, and we are incredibly grateful for every visit, every booking, every recommendation, and every kind word.

There’s so much happening across the Taste & Toast Together venues this June!

Start your day with a visit to The Coffee Trailer from The Coffee & Cocktail Co., now open every morning in the car park at The Piltdown Man. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee and pastry on your morning commute or bringing the little ones for a babycino and a play in the children’s play area, it’s the perfect way to start the day.

Friday 12 June
Join us at Soirée Lounge Bar for an evening of cocktails, conversation and live piano from Charlie Myers. Sit back with your favourite drink and enjoy a relaxed summer evening.

Saturday 13 June
Head to The Piltdown Man for an afternoon packed with entertainment. Small Talk Cover Band will be performing live while we fire up the BBQ, open the outdoor bar, and keep the kids entertained with the bouncy castle and play area. The full pub menu will also be available throughout the day.

Thursday 25 June
Our popular tasting evenings return to The Piltdown Man with a Spanish Night. Enjoy a three-course set menu featuring sharing tapas to start, seafood paella for main, and churros con chocolate for dessert. Why not add a jug of sangria and make a night of it?
