🥚I’m not very good at saying No!

One of this weeks bouquet orders, all the way from Ohio, came with a special request…that the bouquet contained fresh farm eggs (I wasn’t allowed to pop round to Spar I was told).

The recipient of the bouquet kept chickens throughout her childhood and her nephew wanted to remind her of that.

So, challenge accepted…and one bouquet complete with fresh farm eggs was delivered to a surprised customer! I’m sure she’s enjoying an egg this morning.

Dydw i ddim yn dda iawn am ddweud Na!

Daeth un o archebion tusw yr wythnos hon, yr holl ffordd o Ohio, gyda chais arbennig…bod y tusw yn cynnwys wŷau fferm ffres (dywedwyd wrthyf nad oeddwn yn cael mynd heibio i Spar).

Roedd derbynnydd y tusw yn cadw ieir drwy gydol ei phlentyndod ac roedd ei nai eisiau ei hatgoffa o hynny.

Felly, derbyniwyd yr her…a chafodd un tusw ynghyd ag wŷau fferm ffres ei ddanfon at gwsmer syn! Rwy'n siŵr ei bod hi'n mwynhau wŷ y bore yma.

Am ddiwrnod anhygoel oedd hi ddoe i ddathlu 40 mlynedd o Ras y Trên.

Llongyfarchiadau i bawb a gymerodd ran.

Roedd y misoedd a'r dyddiau o gynllunio a pharatoi, y gwaith caled a gwn fod llawer o rwystrau ar adegau yn werth chweil!

Dwi’n gwbod byddai fy Nhad, ar ôl bod yn Rotariad am blynyddoedd, wedi bod yn falch o'r digwyddiad.

What an amazing day it was yesterday to celebrate 40 years of Race the Train.

Congratuliations to all those involved.

The months and days of planning and preparation, the hard work and I know at times many an obstacle were worth it!

I know that my Dad, having been a Rotarian, would have been proud of the event.

Race The Train, Tywyn

We, the Rotary Club of Tywyn, would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to yesterday’s event, from our amazing volunteers and marshals to the runners and spectators. Without you, Race the Train simply wouldn’t be possible.

This year has been especially challenging, with just a small team working hard behind the scenes to make it happen. Despite the hurdles we faced, we pulled together and did our best to keep things running.

We had to adapt when plans changed at the last minute,a building scheduled for demolition remained standing, trailers broke down, and even the marquees arrived in the wrong size. yet together we still managed to deliver the event.

In September, after our debrief, we will be reviewing whether we can host another Race the Train. For now, we simply want to express our gratitude for the support, encouragement, and patience we received, and we hope you all enjoyed the day.

💙 William and Elaine had the perfect day for their wedding on Saturday 26 July 2025 💙

Llanegryn Church looked beautiful and what a Church to get married in!

We then transported the arrangements (without being seen!!) to the historical Peniarth, home to the oldest family in Wales, the Willams-Wynne.

The scene was set for guests to enjoy a delicious spread provided by The Social Pantri and the most exquisite cake with handmade hydrangea flowers by Jules’ Cakes WOW!

Thank You to William and Elaine for trusting me with your vision.
