Can you help protect this special community space in the heart of St Davids for future generations to come? More info below
π£ Protect Maes Glasfryn π£ Yesterday we launched a new fundraising appeal to help achieve the next important step in the securing Maes Glasfryn for future generations.
π€ St Davids City Council have approved in principle an interest in a long-term lease for the site, subject to further investigations into financing and legal matters etc. Why do this?
π‘ Well, it not only protects the space further and reduces the risk of any future change of use, but it also gives the security required for further investment, through grants, to improve the space for the benefit of wildlife and ensure community access for 100 years plus!
π° But, we need your help please. The legal work alone will cost a significant amount to ensure it is done properly. We hope to secure some small grants from organisations and businesses but have decided to launch a public fundraising appeal to ensure we can cover the legal fees and future improvements. Now is when we really need the support of the local community and friends.
π So, can you help with a donation please? Even a small amount will help and every penny donated will be committed to the Maes Glasfryn project. Please do spread the word with friends and family, or those further away who might understand how important it is to protect local green spaces and boost biodiversity.
βΉ For more information or to donate, please visit the link below or scan the QR code in the image. And please don't forget to Gift Aid if you can. If you'd rather send a cheque please make it payable to EcoDewi and drop it off with the clerk at St Davids City Hall in an envelope saying 'Protect Maes Glasfryn'.
π A massive thank you in advance and we'll of course keep everyone in the loop as this important step progresses.
