A bit of a throwback today with this pic of me from 10 years ago!

With the taking place this week, I went back in my pics to see when I was up there last and this photo popped up! Hard to believe it was a decade ago (so fresh faced!) and to top it all I won a gold award that year! ✨

I was part of a floristry team that created a huge floral display and when I went up with my Mum to show her our exhibit, there was the gold award sitting on the display!

If you don’t get the opportunity to get tickets to the show, it’s well worth going to Chelsea in Bloom instead and seeing all the wonderful shops decorated by florists. There’s always Hampton Court flower show to visit in July too!

It’s not something I share on here but something I create with a lot of love and care and that is flower arrangements for funerals.

From small posy arrangements to sprays that adorn the top of the casket and more bespoke 3D tributes, I create everything from my studio in Tunbridge Wells.

Hello! It’s been a little while since I showed my face around here and with some new followers I thought I’d say hi!

I’m Sarah and I own, manage and create everything behind the scenes at Flourish and Grow. I’ve been a florist for almost 21 years and there’s not much I haven’t seen, heard or been asked to create! I love flowers; the smell of them, the new varieties, the seasonal changes. Which is a good thing I suppose being a florist!

For many years I specialised in wedding flowers but ultimately I love all aspects of floristry. Whether it’s making bouquets for birthdays and anniversary’s, floral installations for weddings or events and creating flowers for funerals. Whatever the occasion is a real honour being asked to create flower arrangements for the important stages in life.

Over the years I’ve seen flowers fall in and out of fashion, seen flowers varieties come and go and seen the style of arrangements change and then reappear!

I’ve run Flourish and Grow since 2021, alongside being a Mum to Emilia who came along in 2022. It’s not been easy juggling running a new business and being a Mummy but luckily years of experience in the floristry world means there’s definitely more ups and then there are downs!

I might not be the best of socials but stick around and you’ll see what I get up to in the coming months!
