Owned By RJS CORNWALL LTD, The Old Dairy - Pydar Stores was opened in April 2013 after a few years of careful planning & development to convert the Old Dairy site into a store. After running a sister store in the Trelander estate, Truro, Judith & Roger decided to branch out and open another store nearby. Pydar Stores was originally opened under the Premier fascia group before changing to SPAR in A

ugust 2021. The Old Dairy - Pydar Stores offers services such as Hot Food daily, a FREE to use ATM in store, Paypoint, News and Mags, Alcohol, Tobacco and much more!. We are easily accessible, we have a car park for customers to use, and a disabled ramp and steps to enter the store.

Our Story

Our story starts with Judith Smitham, a diligent area manager, deciding to take a risk and own her own store.

In 2002, Trelander Stores & Post Office came under new ownership. With her innovative ideas and excellent work ethic the shop soon started producing very good results. In April 2013, it was decided that the company should expand. And, after a few years of development, Pydar Stores opened just across town.

Since those first years of starting of slow, the company has expanded greatly. RJS Cornwall LTD now has over 20 staff members. Pydar Stores itself now boasts a fully functioning kitchen that offers hot food to go and catering, along with a fully stocked shop with Paypoint and lottery available. We also offer the Collect+ parcel service.
