Another brilliant evening in Leeds last week - stunning weather, an epic location, and even the odd shooting star 💫! Thanks to all of you who joined us at Kirkstall Abbey 🙏 - we can’t quite believe that’s our sixth year at the Abbey.

THIS WEDNESDAY is the last of our open-air events for 2026 (hello Cornwall 👋), before we take a short break and then head indoors for our autumn series in October and November (London / Tonbridge / Manchester / Beekhamsted).

But first, we’re heading to Eco Park, Porthtowan on Wednesday for another night of films under the stars. Cornish adventure crew…see you there!

Introducing another of our new 2026 films - Sand Dancers 🌊

The film follows quadriplegic daredevil Jimmy Simpson on his extraordinary journey from novice to champion surfer.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the north east British coast, this inspiring story captures both the physical and emotional challenges Jimmy faces as he challenges expectations.

It’s a heartfelt tale about pursuing your passions and the importance of surrounding yourself with a supportive community. Jimmy personifies the Frontier Sapiens spirit 💪

Frontier Sapiens spirit through and through, it’s time to introduce the first of our 2026 festival films - ‘Annika, where she lands’.

The film follows .malacinski as she pushes forward and refuses to accept a future where women are sidelined, as despite decades of progress, Nordic combined skiing remains the only Olympic event without a women’s competition.

It’s a story about resilience, the weight of history, and the pursuit of gender equality, and we can’t wait to share it with you all on the big screen!

The Frontier Sapiens Film Festival is coming to London🔥

We’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with the most incredible venue, bringing a collection of the very best adventure, cultural and environmental films to the big screen at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington.

So why not join us for a cosy autumn evening screening on October the 22nd and enjoy an evening of films showcasing epic stories of human endeavour, all introduced by our festival team.

Tickets are now available through both the Landmark Arts Centre and Frontier Sapiens Film Festival websites.

The Frontier Sapiens Film Festival is coming to London🔥

After a long time searching for the perfect venue, we’re stoked to announce that we have at last found it, and we’ll be hosting our first ever London event this year!

We’ve had lots of requests for a London screening…so we’re very excited to finally be able to bring our collection of the very best adventure, cultural and environmental films to the big screen in the capital city.

The exact location and date will be announced later this week 💥
