Bridal Alterations Specialist, Pattern Cutter and Bespoke Dressmaker offering a personal, yet professional service.

Growing up in the country suburbs near the city of Bath, I had great ambition and creativity. I loved working with fabrics and found that I had a flare for Costume Making. In 2012, I completed my degree at University in Costume Production with a First Class Honours. This is where I began my journey into the Costume and Fashion Industry. My skills are extremely varied from standard Garment Alterations through to Couture Bridal Alterations and Creative Interiors. I take pride in the work that I do and enjoy every aspect. Alongside running my own business, I also work as a Freelance Costumier within the television and film industry. Please do not hesitate to contact me - no job is too big or too small. ✨Life Update ✨

I am over the moon to be sharing the news that we are expanding our family and looking forward to our new arrival, due in February 2027.

I will be on maternity leave for the summer of 2027 but am very much looking forward to welcoming my new brides with weddings taking place from November 2027 onwards.

✨ Real Bride ✨

My gorgeous bride Claire chose me to be her seamstress for her fabulous Cruise ship wedding and I was honoured to have been able to look after her.

The original dress had full length sleeves so we took them completely away and I replaced them with spaghetti straps. I made a variety of alterations to Claire’s dress to ensure the perfect fit, including shaping the bodice, a waistline lift, hem shortenings and a bustle.

With a lace appliqué hem such as this, there’s quite a lot of time that goes into carefully unpicking/lifting each piece off and resetting and stitching into its new position.

I love seeing the end result at the final fitting and most importantly, the smile on my brides faces.

✨ Hand Beaded Details ✨

My bride was keen to have some straps cut and made for her strapless wedding dress but wanted them to feel part of the original beaded design.

I used offcuts to create them and fixed them at points on the dress which became extensions of the original style lines.

I then hand beaded (for quite a few hours!) and completely covered the Matt crepe fabric. They were a fabulous addition to an already beautiful dress and finished the style off without looking like they were an added feature.

I love being asked to create bespoke additions to make a look, truly a brides own 💕

✨ Real Bride (& Bridesmaids) - Part 2✨

What a treat! I am thrilled to be sharing photos of my beautiful bride Rachel who got married in the stunning surroundings of Water’s Edge at Ewen in the summer sun.

Rachel chose her dress from Belle Of The Ball Bridals which was originally a strapless design but during the fittings process with me, we created some slimline straps which I hand beaded to compliment the beading on the main bodice.

Other alterations included, taking in/shaping the bodice, strap shortening, taking in and re-shaping the skirt as well as hem shortenings and a bustle. I really enjoyed bringing this dress to life and creating the vision that Rachel had in mind.

I also had the privilege of looking after her two bridesmaids - both needed hem shortenings and one some work on the bodice to ensure a more comfortable fit.

What a gorgeous day for a gorgeous bride!

✨ Real Bride (& Bridesmaids) - Part 1 ✨

What a treat! I am thrilled to be sharing photos of my beautiful bride Rachel who got married in the stunning surroundings of Water’s Edge at Ewen in the summer sun.

Reading words of thanks from a bride is always a really heartwarming moment ❤️ Knowing that I have made the appointments and fitting part of the bridal journey enjoyable and special is just as important as the alterations on the wedding dress.

There is so much time, skill and effort put into professionally fitting and altering a bridal dress/ensemble, seeing how happy my brides are at final fitting is absolutely priceless.

The biggest thank you to Rosie for giving me such a wonderful ‘re-style’ to work on and being able to look after her whole bridal party too.

✨ Real Bride - Part 2 - Bridesmaids and MOB ✨

I often have the privilege of looking after not just the bride, but also some of her bridal party too. For Rosie’s wedding, I also fitted and altered the bridesmaids dresses and her gorgeous mums dress too. Don’t they all look incredible 💕

Our beautiful Mother of the Bride had her bespoke hat created by the incredible ! An extremely talented milliner who I’m very lucky to also call a friend!

What you see in the photos is not the original design of the wedding dress - Rosie chose a gorgeous JESUS PEIRO gown but the skirt was a full A-line skirt with extra deep pleats on the front. Although she loved the fabric and that’s what prompted the purchase, Rosie knew that the skirt design wasn’t exactly as she had pictured herself in! And that’s where I came in…

I invited Rosie to an initial consultation where we talked through her wishes for the skirt and I was able to pin the dress to give her a good idea as to what we could achieve. Luckily, there was enough fabric to be able to create the silhouette that Rosie was hoping for and it gave her the confidence to go ahead with the big change.

Rosie couldn’t have been happier with the final result and I was thrilled that I could make that happen for her.

As well as the design adaptation, other alterations included taking in on the bodice, collar shortening, hem shortening and a bustle.

This wedding is pure elegance - what a beautiful bride Rosie is on the inside and out 💕
