Growing up in the country suburbs near the city of Bath, I had great ambition and creativity. I loved working with fabrics and found that I had a flare for Costume Making. In 2012, I completed my degree at University in Costume Production with a First Class Honours. This is where I began my journey into the Costume and Fashion Industry. My skills are extremely varied from standard Garment Alterati

ons through to Couture Bridal Alterations and Creative Interiors. I take pride in the work that I do and enjoy every aspect. Alongside running my own business, I also work as a Freelance Costumier within the television and film industry. Please do not hesitate to contact me - no job is too big or too small. Beautiful Hannah! What a wonderfully intimate weekend wedding shared with their closest loved ones. The sun shone so bright and the fabulous colours in her bridal bouquets popped!

I loved working with Hannah and watching her smile every time she put her dress on in the fittings. It was the most perfect style for her and I’m honoured to have had the pleasure of perfecting it for the big day.

Alterations included taking in, strap shortening, bust-line adjustments, hemming and bustling of the train for evening celebrations.

✨ Real Bride - Part 3✨

The final instalment of this stunning summer wedding!

What an entrance!!! My beautiful bride Hannah was over the moon to be able to arrange to have her horse Prince, incorporated into her wedding day last summer. She wowed her guests by arriving on horseback to her wedding reception with her husband Max by her side on his motorbike.

Hannah chose the dreamy ‘Alicia’ dress by from . I had to make a variety of alterations to ensure the perfect fit including taking in, bustline re-shaping, shoulder lift and sleeve re-set as well as hemming and bustling.

I adored the story of Hannah and Prince’s special bond so it is wonderful to see them together again on her special day.

✨ Real Bride ✨

We’re dancing into the weekend like Ruby ❤️

I love seeing moments from my brides’ wedding days and how fabulous does Ruby look with her amazing ballroom bustle. This bustle works so well in the majority of wedding dresses and allows the bride to fully dance the night away when she is ready to lift that train off the floor.

I put bustles into all of my brides’ dresses and we decide together during the fittings which style works best but the ballroom is definitely one of my favourites.

✨ Real Bride ✨

Let’s take a moment to appreciate my gorgeous bride Lucy who I had the honour of fitting and altering her wedding dress for.

I’m lucky enough to know Lucy personally so when she chose to ask me to be her seamstress for her wedding dress, I was truly honoured.

Lucy’s dress needed quite a few alterations including taking in, skirt reshaping, full sleeve recuts, bust-line adaptations, hemming and bustling but the one alteration which was most significant, were the invisible corset panels I created. With Lucy’s dress being strapless, she needed a lot more support within the bodice that the original design just couldn’t give - I gave it more structure using extra bones and creating a tighter under-bust seam but the magic touch came from the invisible panels which I created using skin tone tulle and clear boning. This acted as a firm holding point within the main dress rather then relying on just the zip from the original design.

I absolutely loved working on this and seeing the difference my fitting of the dress was making between each appointment. It’s safe to say that Lucy was absolutely beaming upon collection and I couldn’t have been more delighted with the final outcome.

✨ Real Bride ✨

What a wow!! These photos could be straight from a magazine… Sophie looks absolutely flawless and I couldn’t feel more proud.

My beautiful bride Sophie had a very special wedding day in her beau’s gorgeous homeland of South Africa. She chose this fabulous wedding dress from but it needed quite a few alterations to ensure the seamless final fit.

The dress needed a full re-size including taking in the main bodice, skirt and sleeves as well as hem shortening and bustling.

It was lovely to see the smile on Sophie’s face at her final fitting 💕

✨ Bridal Accessories - Hen Party ✨

This bride is particularly special as she is also my oldest friend 🥹 We recently celebrated her hen weekend and what better way to use my skills than to create a little bridal bow for her to wear.

I was certain Ashleigh would appreciate something a little different to the typical hen party veil, so I created this delicate crepe de chine bow with individual tulle trails which I hand beaded with small pearls - and luckily I was right - she absolutely loved it and wore it the whole weekend ❤️

✨ Real Bride - Bespoke Made to Measure ✨

Evening celebrations - ‘Dance like no one is watching.’ Luckily for these two, dancing is just one of their hobbies together so they had a whole wonderful routine to share their first dance as Husband and Wife.

Making sure that this ensemble was able to become dance worthy for the evening was really important. I needed to make a bustle that would lift both the dress train and the overskirt off the floor without compromising on the style. I think it looks gorgeous!

This was one of the most rewarding bridal journeys I’ve ever had because it was a full collaboration with some incredibly talented women. Firstly, and I worked together to design, pattern cut and make the bespoke jacket and skirt ensemble - with Sarah’s ideas and inspiration, Brooke designed and made the jacket while I took the lead on the over skirt. Sarah chose a wedding dress which I fully fitted and altered, even creating a full foundation, corseted layer into the bodice for extra support and strength.

then created the most beautiful headpiece using offcuts from our lace to complete the bridal look.

Bringing Sarah’s vision to life was so much fun! The whole design evolved with every fitting; the most significant being the lace placement styling. Starting with a blank canvas, I cut out pieces of the lace, laying and placing quite organically to build up the design. By the final fitting, we couldn’t have smiled anymore - it had all come together perfectly.
