Grab a cuppa, get comfy, it's a long one... As many of you know, our pop-ups have been a little up in the air recently, and we've unfortunately had to cancel a few because Greg injured his back. We were really hoping that with a bit of rest and some strong painkillers he'd be back on his feet and ready to get back to normal, but sadly that just hasn't been the case.

A little bit of back history... (see what I did there? 😉). Greg has had surgery on his back in the past, so we've always had to be careful. It's given him the occasional bit of grief over the years, but it was something he could manage. More recently, though, things have become much worse, so we've had to look properly at the root cause. Unfortunately, it looks like Cosy is a big part of the problem.

This is honestly heart breaking for us to admit because we absolutely love what we do—more than words can say. We love the pop-ups, meeting new people, catching up with familiar faces, and being part of our amazing community. It's those moments that keep us going.

The reality, though, is that running a food truck is incredibly physical. It's so much more than turning up for a few hours and serving food.

There's a full day of prep beforehand, including hand-mixing our much-loved tzatziki (sometimes in batches of over 60 litres!), then loading the van, setting everything up, cooking, serving, cleaning down, packing away, unloading, emptying and reloading fridges and freezers. Then there's another full day dedicated to deep cleaning, deliveries, wholesaler runs, admin, maintenance... the list really does go on. At the moment, the majority of those physically demanding jobs fall to Greg.

Then throw weekend events into the mix, where the day can start at 6am and not finish until midnight. They're amazing days, but they are exhausting, and over time they've taken a much bigger toll on Greg's body than we ever wanted to admit.

So... we've had to make a really big decision. One that has been incredibly difficult, but one we know we have to make.

For the foreseeable future, all of our regular pop-ups are cancelled.

We really hope this is only temporary. The aim is to give Greg the best possible chance to rest, recover properly and avoid making his back any worse. Right now, that's got to be our priority.

The good news is, this isn't goodbye!

We'll still be attending festivals, markets, private functions, weddings and events, so you'll absolutely still be able to get your gyros fix. It's just our regular pop-ups that are taking a break for now.

We truly hope this won't be for long. It may even be that we focus on events during the summer months and bring our pop-ups back for the autumn and winter because, if we're being completely honest, trying to do both at the moment is simply too much.

We looked at other options and taking on full time staff but for now, this is the best decision for us.

We know this will disappoint so many of you, and we're genuinely sorry. Your support over the years has meant the world to us, and the community that has grown around our pop-ups is something we'll never take for granted. After all, it's the pop-ups that have built our business and helped us earn the reputation we have today.

Thank you for sticking by us, for understanding, and for supporting us while we navigate this. For the past eight years, this has been our "normal", so this change feels a little unnerving for us too.
..So what we're really saying is, if you see us at an event, PLEASE come and buy a gyros!😄and if you are running an event, organising a corporate do, getting married or see an event we could apply for - get in touch!

On a side note, many of you that have spoken to Greg, knows he doesn't sit still for long (probably also the reason why he's so broken!) for a while he has been building a pizza trailer as actually before gyros, pizza was always his intention! "But why stop gyros and do pizza instead?" you may ask? In comparison, pizza is a lot less physical that what is involved with our gyros truck and so as a temporary measure so who knows?! There is a possibility you may see him at a village hall near you at some point! Watch this space, we'll keep you posted!

We will post when we are doing events on here and local pages to say we will be there, what I do ask is if you see those posts, please engage with them - like, share, comment etc as it will help keep us in the Facebook algorithm etc :)

See you soon,

Tasha & Greg ❤️

Good evening you wonderful people! So just a quick one for those that didn't see our live last week - Greg has finally got his MRI booked in for tomorrow afternoon which does mean that we won't be able to get to West Lavington this week we're afraid (so sorry as know you guys had one cancel on you previously, it's not personal we promise!) Hopefully it will give some answers and we can get him a sorted at last 🤞

We will be bringing our Warminster pop up forward a day so we will be there WEDNESDAY 15TH JULY - NOT THURSDAY!! Please share with any of your Warminster friends so they don't miss us :)

Thank you x

Sutton Veny Flower Show 11-4!!

06/07/2026

Hey all, sorry to be the bearer of bad news once again but we are cancelling our pop ups for this week (Devizes, Trowbridge, Lyneham, Codford and possibly West Lavington next Tuesday too)

Greg is still massively struggling with his back and with some rest it did ease off a bit but despite being on pain medication, he is not doing too good. A few of you would have seen us at Inspire in Warminster yesterday but we had a team of helpers that worked their socks off but meant that Greg could sit it /stand it out and watch from the side lines, pop ups on the other hand are different as Greg is having the do all the physical side of it and all the twisting and lifting is not doing him any good.

Unfortunately, he is the only one able to drive the truck and as he does so much, without Greg, there is no business so it is important that he actually stops work for a minute. In the world of self employed, sick pay and getting signed off doesn't exist so it is very much damage limitation right now.

We have an appointment for an assessment tomorrow then hopefully should have an MRI done within the next two weeks so we can actually find out what he has done, he's also damaged his shoulder so having to have a scan for that too so it is safe to say Greg is a little bit broken right now!

The good news is, we have someone joining us full time from September that can do more of "Greg's side" which in these scenarios should be much better but also means some of the strain can come off of Greg too so fingers crossed, he can start mending himself a little.

So as it stands, Saturday we will be at Sutton Veny Flower show but pop ups for this week and possibly next Tuesday in West Lavington are a no go (we will confirm about Tuesday as soon as possible)

So sorry to let you all down (again) trust us, it REALLY isn't something we want to be doing or can really afford to be doing but needs must and all that...

We will be in touch soon with an update,

Tash & Greg
