🎪✨ EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR KAY-OSS FAMILIES! ✨🎪

We are SO excited to be able to share this with you! ❤️

KAY-OSS is now registered with Circus Starr! 🎪🌟

For those that haven’t heard of them before, Circus Starr is an inclusive circus experience for disabled children, travelling to communities across much of the UK throughout the year. Local businesses sponsor their shows, allowing children and families to experience the circus completely FREE! 🥰

We didn’t realise that KAY-OSS could qualify to be on their distribution list, so unfortunately we missed their original ticket drop.

BUT… 🎉

Circus Starr have been in touch with me this week as they have had some unclaimed tickets returned, which means they have given us the opportunity to share a VERY limited number of tickets with our amazing KAY-OSS community! ❤️

🎟️ TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER
⏰ 4.45pm show — doors open from 4.15pm
📍 Bath Pavilion

The tickets are specifically for SEN/disabled children, and EVERYONE attending will need a ticket, including adults.

⚠️ PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING A TICKET ⚠️

Because these tickets have been returned to us very close to the show date, we have a really limited window to distribute them.

PLEASE ONLY REQUEST TICKETS IF YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND. ❤️

We really don’t want any tickets going unused when another family could have enjoyed this amazing opportunity.

If you request tickets and are allocated them, please treat them as a commitment to attend unless something genuinely unavoidable happens.

Please also consider the 4.45pm start time, particularly if your children are in school that day or use school transport and may need collecting earlier.

♿ Wheelchair access: If you require wheelchair access, please contact Circus Starr directly to arrange this, as stated on the tickets.

Nice full session this time for swimming. Still plenty of space in the pool of course. The usual everyone stepping in to help each other, and of course when a little girlie say “no” to mum about getting out, I scooped her up and got her to the changing rooms, remembering the hard way.. she was in fact very wet! 😂😂

THIS IS A BIG UPLOAD!
We had such a fantastic time on Monday aboard the Kenavon Venture Trip Boat - Devizes. The crew were lovely and took good care of us. Different to our trips on the boat in Bradford we got to experience going through a lock, not once, but twice… and then back again!!
A little moment for the children when they thought we were going to get stuck in the reeds, or eaten by a monster 😂 but our skipper had it all under control!
We coloured, made mini 3d puzzles, used stickers and even explored the boat. We didn’t have an outside seat on this canal boat, but all the children still took it in turns to share looking out the big window.
We even had a birthday guest on board 🎉
At multiple points of the trip we heard “where’s Nanni Shirl gone?” from the children as her little legs tried to keep up along the canal bank!!! See how many times you can spot her in the pictures!
The trip was potentially just a smidge too long for some BUT with that said they all still behaved wonderfully, waited patiently to be told it was safe to get off once moored and tied up, and minus quite a few crisp crumbs they all left the boat as they found it 😍
Couldn’t be more happy with the session, or proud of the children.

There’s really not long left of the summer holidays… who’s counting down the days until it’s back to school?!

Today was a fantastic, and VERY messy session. Thank goodness for antibacterial wipes!
We had lots of fun making our own play doh, and creating slime. Some made fluffy foam which just kept getting bigger! Others made sticky, stretchy slime!
Today definitely required parent/carer support, it required lots of measuring and adding bit by bit. That said there was some fantastic slimes and play doh made.
I was a little nervous this may not have worked that well and interest lost, but the hour flew by an everyone seemed to be having fun, everyone took something home and even I found the fluffy slime therapeutic by the end.
Massive thank you for Nanni & Grampy chaos for coming an helping. We definitely needed the extra hands today!!!

Well done everyone (including your adults) for all getting sticky and messy and having fun!!
Side note to thank our lovely wanna be photographer Fletch for all his hard work taking pictures today while I ran around with sticky hands!!!

YESTERDAY WAS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS… and I have the bruises to prove it! 😂💥

…insert foam bullet to my face TWICE. 🤦‍♀️🤣

We started off nice and calmly with a little bit of target practice, working out which blasters were the best and getting everyone warmed up.

Then we had a little break, some fresh air and a glass of squash while we collected up supplies and rearranged the room…

…and then it was FREE FOR ALL! 🔫💥

An ALL-OUT 30-minute battle! The sweat was pouring, the bullets were stinging and SOME of the parents were enjoying it just as much as the kids! 😂

Others, however, may have taken it slightly too far…

Hahmmmm… NANNI SHIRL & GRAMPY! 👀🤣

Honestly, I haven’t laughed that hard in a while. It was pure and utter KAY-OSS from start to finish! 😂💥

Huge thank you to everyone who came along and threw themselves into it — it was SO much fun watching everyone get stuck in!
